Except for the fact that he doesn't keep his vows either --- and conveniently makes your point.I do not like anything about Trump
Which one.I'm saving myself for marriage.![]()
You said those who have gone through divorce are "disingenuous" and "cannot be trusted". Yet you've voted twice (at least) for someone who went through divorce. How is it I have a double standard?
Yeah and you voted for a guy that got fellated in the oval office. We're even.Yet you've voted twice (at least) for someone who went through divorce.
Sixseven.Which one.
Kinda based though, eh?Yeah and you voted for a guy that got fellated in the oval office. We're even.
So you don’t know then. Let me help ya:Clearly you don't know because they very clearly ain't.
Europe of the Dark Ages is your proof.
Those are good virtues. If one takes a step back and looks at the big pucture overall society has become less kind. I believe a big part of this is that people are working longer, harder and theyre stressed and feel like slaves to their jobs. The increasing pressure to work hard be productive is taking its toll. 3 weeks vacation does not provide enough time for respite. The modern rat race is getting more stressful and overall people are tired, stressed, and the pressure is only increasing. Exhausted describes the vast majority of people. So you don’t know then. Let me help ya:
Christians would encourage a population to participate in their virtues. There are obvious ones that probably most people can agree on, but then there are more that would set Christians apart… such as:
- Faith
- Self-Control
- Patience
- Chastity
- Charity/Generosity
- Humilty
- Thankfulness
- Kindness
Secular modern culture doesn’t value or encourage much of any of these. And, they are all very good for any society, so I don’t think that’s up to dispute.. unless you think a patient, generous, humble, appreciative person with lots of self-control is bad for society?
And before you try to jump in the bandwagon, there’s zero reason for a secularist or atheist to participate in any of these. It would just be your personal preference, but your neighbor could be the complete opposite and you’d have no argument to say they’re wrong..
Bullshit. Those are good virtues. If one takes a step back and looks at the big pucture overall society has become less kind. All of those which you have llsted are vices that undermine what lt means to be human and ultimately destroys life and flourishing in favor of death worship (fear of life) and misery. So you don’t know then. Let me help ya:

Without context your reply has no meaningAll of those which you have llsted are vices that undermine what lt means to be human and ultimately destroys life and flourishing in favor of death worship (fear of life) and misery.
Faith is the enemy of reason. It is not a valid source of knowledge as it makes you a mindless zombie who puts the voices of authorlty above your own capacity to learn. It is undeniable that every period in history dominated by faith has been periods of vast suffering and widespread tyranny.
Self-control is surpression of reality and personal desires in favor of irrational whim — it puts an arbitrary and vague standard of ”God’s will” first only generating shame, sadness and a sense of unfulfillment.
Patience is to passively wait for someone else to save you.
Chastity is fear of pleasure and surrenser of desires leading to more shame and fear of judgment by mystic authority.
Charity is not a duty when motivated by whim and when helping others takes priority over helping onself. It is self.sacrifice of the cruelest forn.
Humility, thankfulness and kindmess are just socialist dogwhistles.
The context is the quoted post, honey.Without context your reply has no meaning
You need context for each point otherwise its meaninglessThe context is the quoted post, honey.
This reply, however, is dodging my points.
Tell that to Mr.Friscus.You need context for each point otherwise its meaningless
So you prefer a population of impulsive, impatient, sexualized, selfish, egotistical, entitled, and mean people compared to a population of self-controlled, patient, chaste, charitable, humble, thankful, and kind people? All of those which you have llsted are vices that undermine what lt means to be human and ultimately destroys life and flourishing in favor of death worship (fear of life) and misery.

There is nothing as unhumble as Christian love.So you prefer a population of impulsive, impatient, sexualized, selfish, egotistical, entitled, and mean people compared to a population of self-controlled, patient, chaste, charitable, humble, thankful, and kind people?
You can have it.
Your points indicate life full of guilt which goes against normal human needsYou need context for each point otherwise its meaningless
To each their own. I think most people would want to live near people who have the virtues I listed.. it’s just up to Christians to be more aggressive in their prescriptions, and try to become the dominant social force in society again. There is nothing as unhumble as Christian love.
I prefer a population of independent, self-aware and rational citizens. Everything you listed sounds horrible.
Your opinions about women do not echo any of those virtues you have listed. To each their own.
