Jesus did not even start Christianity that was Paul (Saul). Did Jesus simply promote Judaism with a different flavor? Promote his own personal perspective which differed radically at times from Judaism practiced at the time (not keeping the Sabbath, eating what he wants etc.)? There is still debate as to Jesuses role, was he the son of G_d, a prophet or G_d himself? The more I delve deeper between both religions the more I am also confused. Are we worshiping a man, even if he were a prophet; but forgetting about G_d? Jews do not pray to Moses, but Christians pray to Jesus. Unless Jesus is Go_d himself....

Christianity is true Judaism. Judaism always believed in a redeemer that would rescue humanity from sin since the fall of Adam and Eve. Jewish prophets foretold of a Messiah, who would be a new King David, a new Moses, and a High Priest in the line of Melchizedek. It was foretold he would suffer, and be cut down before the destruction of the Second Temple, and would give a New Covenant.

Ancient Jews all believed this. That Messiah was obviously Jesus. To claim this “started with Paul” is a complete lie. It started in Genesis.

There is no debate, Jesus said himself he was the “Son of Man.“ That he was the fulfillment of scriptures.

Jews that reject Jesus, are not true Jews. They are heretics who do not even believe in the Tanakh and the Messiah it predicted. Talk to any modern day “Jew”, they believe the messiah will be just a political military leader that will somehow end all sin. Of course none of them can back this claim up with scriptures.

I am talking a course - I’m ALWAYS taking a course, as in Judaism it is a Mitzvah to study Torah - and this particular one is on Abraham and Sarah. I always thought I knew the story - and I did, at a cursory level - but the depths to which our study goes

I was raised to never even say the word G_d as it would be taking his name in vain. I recently learned it isn't spelled out in Judaism so I am comfortable in being cautious and not spelling it out either. I've read through many of the 613 mitzvahs, maybe 315 or so are.relevant today according to some of the Rabbis I follow/watch on youtuve, I also follow.Christian preachers of course.
