Is anyone into luxury/fashion watches?

I wear a smart watch that's tied to my phone. So easy to take calls while working without fumbling for a phone. Most days I just leave my phone in the truck.
I totally get the functionality aspect of smart watches especially for busy people. But there are (I hear) millions of people who just love non-smart, big luxury watches. I assume it's for the status and the bling factor.

Maybe it's a female issue. Women are on bling display for everything from shoes to rings to bracelets to necklaces to studs to earrings but men get to wear expensive watches that don't just decorate but actually have a legitimate function and they resent it.

I used to have a lot high end watches. When I ran into some financial problems I sold them. Now I rock I nice looking black citizen, and I don’t feel the need for anything fancier.

I don't wear any jewelry of any kind. Thar stuff belongs on women not men.

I wear a huge ugly watch . . . for diving. The thing almost qualifies as a weight belt by itself.

I have a dive watch too, but my favorite is a gold Rolex from 1952 set in an exquisite gold bracelet. It keeps perfect time and has never been in the shop.
