"Iran has stepped up retaliatory strikes across the Middle East, firing on Bahrain, Kuwait and Israel and threatening to plunge the region into a prolonged war."

I have watched a couple of YouTube videos (which makes me an expert, right?) about Muslim/Middle-Eastern culture, and the consensus seems to be that a huge difference between Western Culture and what we see and hear in the Middle East is the significance of statements. What we would call "lying" is simply normal meaningless communication in that culture. Here we have someone supposedly threatening Iran's adversaries - which Iran itself is adding daily - with a prolonged war.

What? They have no leadership, are losing their major weapon systems daily, and are quickly running out of what is traditionally thought of as "ammunition." Their people are demanding the overthrow of the government and it has no "legitimacy" as we would see it in the West.

And they are threatening to fight all adversaries in a prolonged war.

We in the West must learn that they do not mean what they say. How can you negotiate with such an adversary? They make commitments that they have no intention of meeting, because this was how their great prophet conducted his own affairs. If was OK to lie and make false promises if it gave you the upper hand in the end. And Leftist Administrations in the U.S. based our policies on the assumption that the Iranians were going to meet their commitments and not "cheat." How stupid do you have to be?

Interestingly, we are hearing similar kinds of communications from Democrats in our own country. Schumer just says nonsense constantly, with a straight face. Pelosi did the same, as does Jeffries. How can you negotiate with such people?

Iran's people need to take matters in hand themselves.
That is up to them. The US role is to destroy Iran's offensive capabilities and its capacity to produce/acquire new weapons.

You mean like sending two Zionist Neocons who are traitors to America and work for Israel to negotiate terms as a ruse, then bomb them in a sneak attack murdering schoolgirls and their leaders.

You are a DUMB *********************************************************!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

GOOD POST

The Kurds care nothing about the Persians and only want the land for themselves and their independence.
And, as many times before, they will be betrayed by Americans.
And no, as far as I know, they are not going to fight. Not now.

Are you attempting to say that USA leadership "means what it says?"

The only way to destroy iran’s offensive threat is through regime change

I would not rely solely on regime change. Constant monitoring will have to continue for the next 50 years. Ironically, the best way to insure change might be a return to monarchy.

;Why would Iran bother. The Orange TACO is doing that just fine. Just remember, he didn't attack on facts, he attacked because he got a feeling.

True. We are in real deep trouble. We have a president who believes that nothing will stop him but his own morality. And he has no morals.

Trump Lays Out a Vision of Power Restrained Only by ‘My Own Morality’

On topic after topic, President Trump made clear that he would be the arbiter of any limits to his authorities, not international law or treaties.

War With Iran Costing U.S. $1 Billion A Day

A video of President Donald Trump warning in 2011 that then-President Barack Obama would start a war with Iran because "he’s weak and he’s ineffective" has resurfaced online.

He added: "He's weak and he's ineffective. So the only way he figures that he's going to get reelected…is to start a war with Iran."

Trump went on to say it would be "an outrage" for Obama to start a war "in order to get elected" and that Iran "can be taken down in many ways."

"I would never take the military card off the table, and it's possible that it'll have to be used because Iran cannot have nuclear weapons, but you've got to exhaust other possibilities, and we're in a great position to do it," Trump said.

Kind of like he tried and failed to end the Ukraine war even though he said he would on day one. So he tried to negotiate with Iran but failed. And he tried everything clearly right? Well then so did Obama.

So how much would it cost to do nothing and then get a few cities nuked? $3? $4.64?

Iran's people need to take matters in hand themselves.

Well, they're not Arabs, so they might be able to pull it off. If so, the real problem will be with restraining the Sunni cultists from taking advantage of their weakness. And of course with the Iranian threat removed it's back to the SOP of 'Kill Da JOOOOSSSS!!!' with Arabs again, now that Israel basically saved their asses from Iran.
