In any case, it has nothing to do with "might makes right". Washington and his nation were already at war with the mighty English Empire. He was very far indeed from imposing will by sheer force.

Why is Iran now the target of regime change? We know regime change never results in anything positive for the US. In fact, things sometimes get worse. So, Trump’s promise of no more wars was a breath of fresh air for many. It may have been key to getting him back into the White House. So, why is Iran on the block for regime change now?

Well, let’s see, “Death to America” and we want a big bomb along with long-range missiles to attack Israel may have something to do with Trump’s decision. Iran would like nothing better than to destabilize the region and maybe bring about a nuclear standoff with between the US and Russia.

I am against regime change under most circumstances because it seldom works well. I know why Trump is doing what he is doing but I am leery of what could happen. I have not forgotten the 1979 hostage crisis, so this is not new.

The first question is: Why now?

The only two things I can think of are:

1) Trump got super confident after kidnapping Maduro
2) Trump wanted something to hide from the Epstein files.

The US has wanted Iran gone for a long time, Dubya wanted it. Four countries have been under US scrutiny since 2001, all of them OPEC, Iraq, Iran, Libya and Venezuela.

The has has gone after them, Biden being the only president since 9/11 to not take out a leader of one of these countries.

God sometimes solved the problem of unreformable bloody regimes in the OT by simply taking out whole nations or communities of the savage barbarians.
