The US doesn't have combat troops with the IDF in Lebanon or Gaza, but we have plenty of military advisors, liaisons and tech reps there. I've worked with the IDF myself through the military back in the day. We don't control them and they don't control us, but we try to work together.

Iran appears to be standing strong with the backing of both Russia and China who both have a vested interest in maintaining equal control over the Persian Gulf and Strait of Hormuz.

Both Russia and China are happy to see Trump waste most of our high tech munitions in the Strait....munitions which can't be sent to Ukraine or used to defend Taiwan.
