I'll take the opposite side of that argument.
1. Even if we bomb them into oblivion the IRGC will still be in control. Picture Hitler in his bunker, he doesn't care about the people, but we should. Your way requires boots on the ground to take Iran building by building.
No need for that many casualties.
2. I prefer a "Chinese Torture" drip-by-drip-by-drip bombing, a powerplant a day, a bridge a day, until the regular army tells the IRGC to stand down before there is no drinking water for anyone. We need Iranians to take back Iran, we don't want to keep trying to "nation-build" versus an IRGC insurgency.
Maybe you don't have any active duty family members?
IF we were to bomb them into oblivion... it would also be necessary at tht point to arm the rest of the population. An injured IRGC would be going door to door and looting whatever the civilians had
