The Shah tried to build a secular society but was undermined by the blood thirsty clerics that wanted Muslim control. Many Iran citizens hate the current regime but are tortured and jailed for protesting the warmonger mentality of that country.

The only people that mattered in Iran was the Shah's immediate circle. Unhappily they developed under the British model instead of the American model .
