In 99.5 percent of the cases, the horror of aborting a fetus is completely avoidable. Abstinence, birth control pills, condoms, IUDs are readily available.

I am pro-choice for the most part (within reason), I just thank G-d that my mother who was only 17 when she decided to keep me even against the wishes of her family and friends made such a brave decision. She took responsibility for what fate delivered.

Born six weeks premature and living in that incubator with my mother unable to even touch me. She visited to view me through that bubble as I struggled to breathe and survive. Around the clock support by nurses and a doctor of this child fighting for his life. My protectors, my angels, sent to me by G-d.

It would have been so easy to abort me and pursue her life free of this obligation, I wouldn't have blamed her for such a decision.

G-d guided her though and here I am, for better or worse. Life!

Nothing the world can throw at me can compare to that fight I had before I could even cry. G-d knows the devils in this country have tried, but a man is a sum of his parts, of all of his experiences, good and bad, from the most mundate to the most difficult., from the most earliest of time.

I hope that all young pregnant women are spoken to and know they have options. If communities in NY and California can give billions to illegal citizens they sure as hell can help out young expectant mothers who are confused and conflicted. Protect life if you can.

The issue in your case was your mother's human nature to have sexual intercourse. Abstinence, birth control measures, fear of god, were not options to her.

Many other women too will shirk their social responsibilities and choose sex over other choices.

We can at least say that the Catholic religion still not accepting birth control measures, makes them socially irresponsible. Was your mother a Catholic? IF the father is known, was he a Catholic?

Being touched is critically important to newborn babies. The lack of which is known to cause difficulties in adult life. Ask me about those problems.
