Jesus will take vengeance on those who oppressed "His people". Jesus' people are the innocents, and the those being oppressed. Like those who are turning away refugees, and throwing them out of the country should be worried.

Jesus was not concerned with worldly, political kingdoms, but how to live in God's kingdom despite the worldly kingdoms one finds oneself. Remember, he was speaking to the Jews who were under the rule of Romans, of gentiles. Instead he taught how to live in God's kingdom no matter where one is in the world, or under what rule of any current political leader/government.

It sounds to me like you are trying to round up a ready-made mass of people to do, not God's will, but yours.
