Intentional, White, Educated, 40-year-old single moms

it means less people paying overhead for utilities so higher bills per person.

Seriously, both are true.
You did not address his point. His clearly true point.

Do you wish to just gloss over reality? If so why?

Biology says they should marry in their teens for girls and early twenties for guys, but I guess dementia wiped that knowledge from your mind.
Science further says that forming meaningful relationships while young has many physical and mental health benefits.

All 3 of my kids were married in church before god. That doesnt mean one needs to adhere to those vows in the case of a rotten marriage. As i said, first sign of conflict then no need to save it.

You have NO honor or character whatsoever.

The problem in today's "West" is that the people one would want to reproduce (intelligent, educated, industrious) are not reproducing, and the people in whom you would want to see some restraint (poor, uneducated, failures) are popping them out mechanically, partly due to government policies that promote reproduction (AFDC, SNAP, free childcare, and so on).

On the topic of two incomes vs one, when my son was an infant, we decided to try living on my income only, figuring that my wife could take a career hiatus until the little darling got to, say, high school. Unfortunately, my wife spent her newly discovered free time spending money on one thing and another, which forced her back to the office forthwith. We could have lived on my income, with effort.

A stable population is NOT A PROBLEM in the Big Picture. Productivity is increasing dramatically, and we no longer need an increasing population to make stuff and do useful things.

The FACT is one income can no longer feed clothe and house a family. So when the birth rate drops well below 1 kid per frmale, you will be a supporter of that. You will be in favor of employers having to pay bigly more for labor. Like 3x more.

FWIW, I live in a relatively posh suburb of Pittsburgh, and predictably we have one of the top-rated school districts in the state.

A very large percentage of the households with kids have a non-working mother. The parent organization (I don't recall its name) holds essentially all of its meetings and other events in the middle of the work-day.

If it's not possible to support a family on one income, that fact is not universally known around here.

If one spouse is making big big money then yes sure. But thats a very tiny percentage of workers today. And talk of raising wages across the board for the masses is of course somehow a bad thing. We just cant have someone making $20 per hour all of a sudden making $30 for the same work. World might end.
