This monstrous travesty of a bill goes far beyond baseline budgeting....It's an immense spending spree that has next to nothing to do with "infrastructure" and far more to do with purposefully collapsing the system.The problem with many folks, is they do not understand the Department of Transportation's role in the system, nor do they understand the role of Baseline budgeting in the Federal Budget.
Why has it not produced the results what we have expected it too? It was supposed to keep up with inflation, and keep our infrastructure in good shape.
Why even have baseline budgeting and have a DoT if it does not do it's job?
Is it corruption? Is it the Federal Reserve devaluing the purchasing power quicker that the CBO estimates the cost of inflation? Whatever the problem. .. . this is a scam.
Supposedly, the taxpayer is socked with tax increases every year which goes towards infrastructure, every damn year, so where are the results?
When the right tries to reform the system, they are rebuked.
This type of Budgeting was introduced during the Clinton Admin. to be automatic, and although the right has tried to repeal it, it has always been shot down in committee.
