Stick and stone may beak my bones, but it still doesn't make it a good use of infrastructure money, no matter which party or who approves it in my opinion. Maybe that is yet another reason I would never make a good Democrat. I am pretty well equal opportunity on bad ideas whether they come from Democrats or Republican. You support it if you want to and be a good little foot soldier for the man.
