I honestly didn't think it would, but I've been wrong many times about things.

Eight years of lies, corruption, and incompetancy had a lot to do with how this election turned out. Obama will be inheriting two failed wars, an economic debacle, and a populace ready for some major changes. I hope he can provide the leadership for those changes.
