Inconvenient and Unpopular Truths about Marijuana

I find that a great number of weed users somehow believe they are entitled to use whenever and wherever they want, regardless of what property and business owners want.
Im ok with regulating it, taxing it, and letting private businesses deciding yes or no. What people do in their own backyards is nobody elses business. If it provides a break from the stressful american life then that seems good too.

Basement with a grow light.........

It's also been grown where I live for decades.

My outdoor grows were an unending series of natural disasters over several years. I stopped.

If I restart it will be a Level IV clean room or I'll move to the tropics.

Up on the Taconic Parkway near Putnam Valley, there's a massive (outdoor?) farm and in September the air smells like Snoop Dogg's living room

Propaganda from government and industry is the biggest, most consumed and most dangerous drug in America today

It's mostly moot. Those who want to smoke already do.

The only people actually upset are those who want to be able to violate people's rights over "smelling marijuana".
Do you also oppose restrictions on smoking tobacco in restaurants and theaters?

30 miles from where I live.

Threads like this prove that those who worship the Nanny State exist on the right as much as the left.

"Violate people's rights". :icon_rolleyes:
How about not having stoners out on the highways causing deadly traffic accidents?
And how about not having people suffer severe psychoses from this "harmless plant"?
I have a relative who's a worthless sponge living off welfare, often violent, can't hold down a job. He had issues anyway and the super powerful weed of today has NOT done him any good. I get tired of it being defended as a "harmless plant".

Yeah!

Why can’t they just drink alcohol instead? It’s so much healthier.

The notion it makes all people worthless who use it is nonsense. Those people were already there before the weed.
I am now 60 and still puff.
Own a home in a nice exurban area, drive an expensive truck that tows my multiple toys and camper, credit rating near 800, and work on expensive new construction homes on jobs that most people would shit their pants at the danger and weather conditions.
It helps me sleep through the multiple aches and pains of beating my body for decades doing the work without the need of Big Pharma and the toxic addictive substances they hock.

Do things right and you won't have the need to relieve stress.

The stress comes from doing things right. Rush to work, work hard, rush home, 2 people running around frantically to try and barely stay afloat. And wre wonder why people feel stressed? In the scheme of things, once we are gone nothing that we did here makes one bit of difference. Not one. Nothing really matters. Not how hard one works or what car they drive the list is endless. Harsh reality.
