Zone1 In your dreams...

Yes. My father came to me when I was asleep to let me know that he was alive and better than ever. This occurred a few days after he died. I never had such an experience before or since. I became fully conscious while my body was keeping and I heard a "woosh" as I was instantaneously teleported to my father's living room, where I was overjoyed to see him and he had the happiest smile on his face. I exclaimed "Dad! You're alive!" and I hugged him and told him that I loved him and he hugged me back and said he loved me. A moment later it was over. I awoke hours later and shared the experience with my mother and others. It wasn't a dream, it was real!
Yes. What you describe in more than brain synapses functioning.

About what?

I mean I am who I am too.

So are you.

So is my neighbor.

So is my cat.

It's vague as hell.
Do we unnecessarily complicate what is essentially simple? I see one of two ways possible. One way, is to get to know Jesus as he is one with the Father. There is a lot of material written about Jesus and his teachings. The second way is to dive in the the Law and Jesus' teachings. Live both. Those who love Jesus come to love the Law/Teachings. Those who love Law/Teachings, come to love God.

As a very young child I was determined to seek and find God. Jesus noted one needs the heart of a child to receive the kingdom. Contemplate this. What if we wait until we grow up to decide whether or not to seek and find God. What if we put it off?

Think about entering adulthood. We're there at last! Who knows what is best for me? I do! Who sets my priorities? I do! Who comes first (for the most part)? I do! Right or wrong, who gets to pursue wants? I do! (In childhood, someone else always gets to decide those things for us.)

As an adult, do you do what God wants? (Hard to do if you don't know God, His Laws or His Teachings, right?) Doing what we want is a great way to get to know ourselves. Doing what God wants is a great way to come to know God.

Sorry, but that's a physical metamorphosis that has been well explained by science.

Nothing spiritual going on there.
No. That is biological, not spiritual

that's you who fails to know biological is in itself metaphysical, not native to planet earth and appears when conditions are favorable for its generation including the spiritual component necessary for both to exist physically as distinct beings.

no blade of grass from 200 million years ago to the present and for all eternity will ever be exactly alike.

No idea at all what that's supposed to mean.

I'm guessing you consider yourself an expert on that? ;)
Ayup, I was raised to be episcopalian. Dads parent's were catholic, ex-wife's are southern baptist.

I am an expert on messed up religions.

Has God ever sent you a message in your dreams? In scripture, we read about this happening in Biblical times. Have you ever had a dream where it seems God had a message for you?
Not so much dreams as early morning clarity of thoughts that I assume come from the Holy Spirit.

How about this: Deep down, there was no wish to know God and no wish to worship God.

That's wonderful.
I believe the thing that makes sleep and first waking up spiritually special is that we are more removed from self. Which I believe makes us more receptive to receiving the Holy Spirit.

A profound assessment and much appreciated.

Other ways that make us receptive to the Holy Spirit are being thankful, being charitable, being reflective and living in the moment. Objectivity is a wonderful thing as it lets us see reality and God is reality... among other "things."

To that I'll add the morning prayer of: Here I am, Lord. Send me.

A most excellent sentiment and frame of mind to start the day. How could you possibly fail with a mindset like that? You couldn't.

NO god. Just fools like you need to believe something that is NOT real.
What about the Torah? Are you in the habit of sharing your informed and respectful opinions with Jews? Or do you just limit it to Christians?
