Walter Williams was a giant among conservatives. He grew up poor and worked his way up from being a cab driver to an economics professor at George Mason. In fact, Williams, who died this week at 84 years of age, taught a class at George Mason the very morning of the day he passed away. Of course, most conservatives who have heard of Williams are familiar with him because of his superb columns about conservatism, common sense, limited government, and economics. Williams was one of the best columnists out there for four decades and as you are about to see, he made an enormous impression on other conservatives.
