“[Third trimester abortions are] done in cases where there may be severe deformities. There may be a fetus that’s nonviable. So in this particular example, if a mother is in labor, I can tell you exactly what would happen,” Northam, a pediatric neurosurgeon, told Washington radio station WTOP. “The infant would be delivered. The infant would be kept comfortable. The infant would be resuscitated if that’s what the mother and the family desired. And then a discussion would ensue between the physicians and the mother.”

The point Trump was making is that 3rd trimester abortions are not illegal in some states. No, it is not legal after birth to my knowledge, but if a woman decided to have an abortion the day before going into labor, she could do so. Whether or not women choose to do this is irrelevant. The mere fact that they could and it is legal in some places, all in the name of pro-choice, is disturbing. 7 states have ZERO restrictions on late term abortions so it would absolutely be legal for a woman in Oregon, for example, to walk into an abortion clinic the day before her projected delivery date. Sick, but many Democrats don’t care because “pro-choice” and agenda is all that matters.
