Mostly I am trying to figure out how much and how fast my real estate taxes will go up over the coming years. Even with only 2 mils, more than $5000 in homestead exemption, discounts for early payments and the right to protest, the 300% increase in the size of unsolicited bids over the past year is concerning. That 1/3 of that rise came after the tax bill passed the senate is very concerning. Also the tax certificate market dried up over seven years ago as the banks and construction companies saw that FL housing was still selling and financing them out of the Meltdown. Florida needs a proposition 13, but what is happening in other low SALT states?
