Biden's response:

He refuses to even talk about cutting spending. In fact, he proposes a budget with no cuts in spending at all. The IMF clearly asks Biden to cut spending to help the fed fight inflation because continuing spending and raising interest rates has caused bank chaos, leaving the choice between either bank chaos or high inflation. The IMF says we need to cut spending to lower inflation, not raise interest rates to fight it. Will Biden listen to the IMF? Or, will Biden listen to his Progressive bed fellows instead? Will Biden refuse to cut spending and send the US over the debt ceiling cliff, making things even worse, or, will he listen to reason?

Both Biden and the economy are almost dead

What does he care?

He cares, very deeply.

For progressive woke policies and socialism. Nothing else matters. They feel that we need a great transformation and then after all the dust settles, Utopia will be achieved. Like the American Revolution, intense pain will be required until we reach that Utopia. And, if it doesn't work out? We just need to do more of what didn't work.

Why would he cut spending? Did he run on cutting spending?

Who was the last president to actually cut spending from one year to the next?

Which year did the previous POTUS cut spending?

It will be interesting to see if the GOP House caves in to Biden and the democrats and overspends to save their jobs. There doesn't seem to be much public interest in spending less these days, so I wouldn't be surprised to see more spending but the question is how much more?

When they agree to the spending it will not be caving, it will be what they want. They just pretend to fight it and then give in for the good of the country.

It is all an act.

The IMF is more fiscally conservative than the Dems and GOP summed together....

Has McCarthy cut ANY spending yet??

First place to cut spending = UKRAINE
Second place to cut spending = all US owned foreign located virus labs
Third place to cut spending = zero out the CIA once and for all

Biden's been ordered to inflict as much permanent damage as he can

I was just wondering if he would listen to the IMF since he won't listen to Republicans. I'll put you down for a no.

Put me down for a NO too. Biden only listens to those around him, and even then sometimes it goes in one ear and out the other in less time than it took for me to write this. For him, it's all about the politics and what he can do to help his party and himself get elected in 2024. The effect on the rest of us of gov't overspending comes in a distant 3rd.

PS: FWIW, I doubt that Trump listen's much either.

He's not even that lucid in his best moments anymore....He's the real life embodiment of the John Gill character from Star Trek.

Why would anyone listen to your beloved party.

When was the last time they cut spending?
Do you think we should cut spending? Do you think Biden should listen to the IMF? My beloved party has nothing to do with this. It was the IMF telling Biden he should cut expenses. Is he going to listen?

I have been saying we need to cut spending since the days of Bush I. It never happens because of people like you.

Of course Biden is not going to listen, just like the last 5 did not listen.

The American people do not want spending cuts

I want spending cuts and you said you do to. I doubt we are the only two.
