I’m so pissed. Military members’ paychecks will see $0.00 from the $130 million donation to the Pentagon!

Did you mean to say "because he won't pay military members?"

Anyway, it turns out that Trump is actually in charge of the Department of War, formerly known as the DOD.

Where are you on willingness to admit you are wrong if the Troops get more than $0.00?

It also may be that someday pigs will evolve wings and fly.

What do you think will happen? The troops see any of the money, or no?

I hope some moronic Democrat pushes the issue and tries to keep the fulcrums, sorry the troops, from getting the money. The more prominent the Democrat, the better. Obviously AOC is the most prominent and powerful Democrat right now, but she is probably too cagey to get involved.

If they "win," and keep the money from the troops, all the talk of it being "only $100" will be meaningless except that it would show how petty Democrats are, for those still unaware.
The $130 million pays each service member, once... $100.

I think Seymour is clinically blind.
The title of the thread has me saying the troops will get zero dollars ($0.00) and Seymour still asks
“What do you think will happen? The troops see any of the money, or no?”

I don’t think he’s dumb. I think he’s blind.
FYI
I think he's a she....not a he??? I could be wrong? But I thought I had seen her say it somewhere? Like mentioning a husband??? :dunno:

FoxNews (BillieJeans isn’t even trying to read Fox):

“But the donation may be a potential violation of the Antideficiency Act, which prohibits federal agencies from spending money in excess of congressional appropriations or from accepting voluntary services.”

And?

Oh, you mean that you agree that Conservative from Georgia is wrong about them getting $0.00!

Maybe you can explain it to him.
And we don't want Melon money anyway.....

Melon is being sued by Epstein victims, for his Bank of New York Melon, being Epstein's bank that funneled $318 million dollars through, for his sex trafficking operations that BNY Melon, turned a blind eye to all of this suspicious activity...along with Bank of America, who is also being sued by Epstein sexual abuse victims.

No wonder he wanted to stay anonymous..... And on second thought, I wonder what Trump promised him, for the money?

You speak for the troops?

He's being sued because he owned a bank and bad people do bad things with money in banks sometimes?

Sheesh!

Lawyers, amirite?

Who knows? It is really not a lot of money, for Trump or Melon.

I think what has the OP confused is that he doesn't realize that money is fungible.

Trump can put that 130M into some kind of foreign outreach fund or sensitivity training funds and use other money to pay the troops. Then if the Democrats sue, claiming that the money cannot be spent due to whatever law he was talking about, Trump can so, "okay, no foreign outreach or sensitivity training, then."

But will the troops get the money - however much it may be?
Unless Melon finds a way to just individually send them a $100 gift in the mail, with no mention of our govt, they probably will never get it....

Your and my president is a man of lawlessness...he took an oath ...though not on the Bible his wife held for him, to follow the Constitution and execute... all LAWS derived from it, including for himself.

He can't pay the troops, under shut down rules....and no one else can either.

It's part of the way these shut downs can be negotiated and end quickly....or quicker.

I was so happy when I heard this news about the donation, until I was informed that this violates the anti deficiency law. Nothing to do with Democrats. This donation is not something that has to be approved by, or voted on by members of Congress.

Democrats can approve, disapprove or do nothing about this, and the money will still not be used for paychecks for military members. It’s just the law.

I’m so pissed about this. I with this law didn’t exist! I hate laws sobre times.
Whoever came up with this law is dumb.

Yep....gonna make a whole lot of people love the democrats even more.

DOD rules prohibits gifts to personnel even when sending it individually in the mail.

Okay, I disagree.

If I turn out to be wrong, I'll admit it. Same for you? It would set a good example for your boy.

Sure, but what ruling says that what Trump plans to do with the money violates a law? Just FYI, Federal News Network dot com is not a court of law.

Sorry, but you are not a court of law.

There is no shutdown. There is barely a slowdown. Just a bunch of already useless employees told to stay home and not work, as opposed to their normal staying him and pretending to work.

I applaud Trump for finding ways to pay service people who are ALL essential and working. If a court rules later that he violated the law, oh well. Has Conservative from Georgia told you what criminal penalties might apply?

Lesh, why weren't you complaining when Trump used tarrif money to keep WIC going in October?

WIC Program Receives $300 Million in Funding from Tariff Revenues

October 16, 2025

Action: Last week, the Administration redirected $300 million in unspent tariff revenue from FY2025 to the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC). WIC was at risk of running out of funding this month because of the government shutdown, which occurred just before the program was slated to receive its annual appropriation. The $300 million is expected to keep the program operating for the next several weeks. But using tariff revenue for this purpose is controversial, particularly if the Administration is planning other uses for tariff funding as the shutdown continues.

  • Still, some experts question the legality of the move, as lawmakers have not appropriated Federal funds to be spent on the program for FY 2026 as no appropriations bill covering FY 2026 has been enacted. It also raises broader questions about whether the Administration would seek to redirect tariff revenue from general revenues to fund specific programs as the shutdown continues and under what authority it would do so.

In other words, why do you hate the troops?

You do realize that the money you are referring to is Congressionally funded.

Rules prohibit spending money that is not congressionally appropriated

Right? You knew that?

No, it is isnt.

The president levies tarrifs.

Why do you hate the troops so much that you play amateur lawyer to oppose their getting even a paltry $100?

If Trump's idea is against the law, professional jurists will say so.
