Last night, Ron Paul made the rest of the pack look like what they are, political amateurs who will say anything to get elected. There isn't one candidate among the GOP wannabes, who deserves to be on the same stage as Ron Paul.
Also, I'd like to comment on the alleged Big Time Christians running for prez. God's Word repeatedly tells us to help the poor and the helpless, it also tells us to take care of God's Earth. Yet every one of these fake Christians, is all for taking away programs the help the poor & helpless and they are all for taking away regulations that protect God's Earth.
At least Ron Paul isn't a full blown hypocrite by trying to see who's the Biggest Christian. I respect that more than any the convenient Christians who want to defy God's Word..

Ah, another person who either chooses to not understand Christian doctrine or wants to personally re-write it to suit themselves. Christians are obligated to GIVE of themselves and urging others to do so would be part of that. But there is nothing "Christian" about using the power and force of government to forcibly TAKE from those who earned it in order to hand it over to those who didn't. There is nothing Christian about that. Jesus was not Robin Hood nor did He ever once suggest stealing from others either as individuals or by using the force of government to do it -was something beloved by God as long as the thief claimed to be using it for their own definition of "good".

Do you think you get extra brownie points to heaven if you vote in favor of having government forcibly take what others earned in order to hand it over to those who didn't? Really? Do you really believe your government can be your proxy in the eyes of God? Do you seriously believe that whatever government spends your tax dollars on -is a "good" in the eyes of God? Seriously? Do you think government will make better use of your money than you can? Do you think if you allow government to take a big chunk of your money in order to pay for the never ending growing and unsustainable entitlements -that it relieves you of your personal duty as a Christian? If you don't answer each of those questions with a big "yes" -then you are actually complaining about people who CORRECTLY answered NO to each of those questions. I do not support TAKING from others in order to hand it over to someone who doesn't own it and didn't earn it. That is NOT "Christian" -it is THEFT. The fact you don't mind if government steals from others makes no difference -it is THEFT. Claiming government will make better and more moral use of that money than the individual will is a lie. Claiming that whatever government decides is "good" is also good in the eyes of God is a lie. Unless government can act as my proxy in the eyes of God, then why would I ever support a system that leaves people LESS able to voluntarily GIVE of themselves -and give to what THEY personally believe is the best use of their money? THEY are the ones who will be held accountable for what they personally did and did not do -so why would I support a system that encouraged citizens to believe it was GOVERNMENT'S responsibility to care for their fellow man -instead of THEIRS?

When you remove free will from the equation, you also strip any value from it in the eyes of God. No brownie points for living under ANY particular kind of government and Jesus never once said His followers should be working to impose a particular system of government on their fellow man whether they liked it or not. Nanny government PROVABLY works as a disincentive for others to voluntarily give of themselves -both in time and money -who instead come to see it as government's job, not theirs. You only need look at countries with nanny governments to see their citizens voluntarily donate the least amount of time and money for charitable causes ON THE PLANET. None of them spend as much on charitable causes as American citizens voluntarily do.

After the 2004 Dec. 26 tsunami, some people criticized the US government for not donating even more money -but combined with what Americans voluntarily donated -no other nation came anywhere close to the money that POURED out of this country for tsunami victims! And NO other people on the planet came close to what Americans voluntarily donated themselves. THAT is the difference between a people who believe it is their government's job to take care of it -and a people who believe THEY have an individual responsibility for their fellow man. Do you REALLY want to kill that? Why? It won't result in MORE for the disadvantaged, but provably LESS! A nanny government kills that charitable spirit and it is replaced with the cold, unfeeling, unhuman face of government -that never spends as much on it as individuals did. I could NOT support ANYONE claiming to be a Christian who did not understand TRUE Christian principles and believed it was "Christian" to impose a socialist, socialist-light, nanny government system here -because that is a FRAUD and a lie. God will never thank anyone for imposing such a system on their fellow man.

The fact is, We are going to have Obama as president for another four years.

When Obama gets back into full campaign mode and starts giving his speeches.

None of the Republican candidates can even come close to matching his charismatic style of speaking.

Rubio is not going to run with Perry.

If he does..he's a fool.

He's too young and inexperienced.

Right now, the Right is enthralled with Rubio because he looks and sounds the part. But he was being touted as a future Presidential candidate when he was all of 38.

Maybe in the future, but not now.

Plus, if Perry gets the nomination, he's going to need someone with gravitas, either on foreign policy or the economy. Perry will get labeled as an evangelical zealot so he'll need someone who reassures and doesn't scare the center. As attractive as Rubio may be to the Right of the party, Perry is already on the Right. They don't need another one of those. And adding someone with less than two years of experience in the Senate on the ticket will detract from the GOP's message that Obama isn't up to the job.

If Perry wins - and he certainly has a shot - he'll pick someone with gray hair from either the west or the northeast.
