I'm concerned about our (progressive's) complacency.

This is all true but we CAN overcome it

But it will take a MASSIVE voting effort

When we vote we win

VOTE

Vote Dem from Dog Catcher to the Oval Office
I think it's going to take more than voting. We need systemic change such that the majority's will prevails.

They are not supposed non citizens. That claimed they were non citizens on their registration forms. Why do leftists have to lie about everything?
What I care about is trump's court ignoring the black letter law of the National Voter Registration Act because it may advantage Repub's.

The SC has become an arm of the POT.

So true Democracy?

Where 50.1% of the people can vote to take all the stuff from the other 49.9%?

As far as you know they simply checked the wrong box. As you get older you don't always see as well. But you will assume the worse in anyone to defend your stupid politics.
So why give the few people who MIGHT ahave carelessly checked the wrong box saying they were non-citizens over the people who checked the correct the box?

IOW, why priotiize the vote of the careless person over the responsible person? The careless person can cast a provisional vote. In the meantime, we are stopping non-citizens from voting.

Just like you people prioritize ilelgals over citizens, terrorists over Jews, criminals over law-abiders. You people always defend the wrong people.

Removing a citizens right to vote should be a very high bar. That document is not what gives the citizen a right to vote. All it does it help ensure they only vote once.

Even careless people have the constitutionally granted right to vote. It would not have been hard for the state to actually checked on this number of registrations.

They caught most of them because they refused jury duty due to being a non-citizen (self-admitted), were contacted, and if they did not straighten it out within 14 days were removed from the voter rolls which is where counties get their jury duty folks.

So, they either lied during registration or lied to get out of jury duty....Both of which are a crimes in Virginia.

And the majority are NON-CITIZENS. So you want the entire group to be able to vote, negating the votes of ACTUAL citizens?

You have no idea who the majority are.

You just made this up so I have no obligation to address it.

if they TRULY were so careless as to identify themselves as non-citizens, they can cast a provisional vote.

You are putting the interests of citizens below non-citizens if you allow all 1600 to vote.

And that’s why they get a provisional ballot.

if I drop a zero on my tax return and claim I earned $10,000 instead of $100,000, do I just get to tell the IRS, oops…I made a mistake? No. There are penalties.

And in this case, the penalty for someone checking the box that they are non-citizens is that they lose the right to vote through a regular ballot and cast a provisional. In the meantime, we stop the actual non-citizens from voting.

I support the state actually doing their due diligence and actually checking.

They didn't have to wait until so late.

Either do you.

No, but I'm going to side with citizens and the Constitution.

I also made no claims, I can not back up. I quoted the official stating that some likely are citizens but they were going to boot them anyway.

I support blocking illegal aliens from voting. The most important thing is to NOT negate citizens’ vote by allowing people who admitted they are not citizens to vote as usual.

The reason Dems are importing illegals from 3rd world countries is for their votes - either by cheating early, getting amnesty, or their anchor babies in 18 years.

Supreme Court Allows Virginia Plan To Purge Supposed Non-Citizens To Go Forward

In a win for Republicans trying to perpetuate the myth that non-citizens will vote en masse for Democrats, the Supreme Court on Wednesday allowed a voter purge program in Virginia to move forward only days before the presidential election.

The justices blocked a lower court ruling that found the purge program was a direct violation of a National Voter Registration Act provision that, the court found, would prevent the purge so close to the election.

Wednesday’s brief Supreme Court order noted that all three liberal justices dissented.

Although Wednesday’s decision — which allows for the removal of close to 1,600 voters from the voter rolls — is not a ruling on the future of the program, it will likely disenfranchise eligible voters in the state. Experts and the plaintiffs in the suit have argued that the list of roughly 1,600 almost certainly contains people who are citizens, and Virginia officials have not been able to muster evidence to contradict that point.

More broadly, the decision gives breathing room to false Republican talking points that non-citizens are voting en masse on behalf of Democrats this cycle.

"It's a small thing in the big picture. Small in the sense it only affects about 1,600 voters."

Actually, I find that kind of thinking troubling for a number of reasons. Primarily, for the way the conservatives obtained a majority of seats on the SC bench. McTreason's (who was only the Senate leader because of the disproportionate over representation of red states in the Senate) unprecedented treachery and trump winning the presidency with a minority of popular votes.

If Dem's were ruling while in the minority you can bet Repub's would have mobilized in ways Dem's do not. Repub's launched a plan to impose their views on abortion on the majority 30 years ago and look where we are now. Women are dying because they can't get reproductive healthcare.

Is there a effort happening right now to get rid of the antiquated way we elect the prez? Yes. https://act.commoncause.org/petitio...MI0MOw9NO4iQMVtA2tBh2QSiNhEAAYASAAEgJSO_D_BwE
Is it getting the all out support from Dem's it requires? No.

As surreal as it seems, a convicted felon who was found financially liable for sexual abuse (rape by federal statute) and tried to illegally install himself as prez may be on the cusp of being returned to the WH. If that doesn't motivate Dem's to do everything we can to change the system to reflect the will of the majority then the country will suffer the consequences for decades to come.
A Constitutional amendment to eliminate the EC would never pass, no matter how appropriate and warranted.
