The problem with the current strategy is that it is ineffective and does not accomplish anything. I would prefer that we never sent in there in the first place and even more that we would STOP removing functioning governments in the name of installing new ones. Virtually every time that 'new' government ends up being filled with extremist terrorists rather than friendly democracies. The whole idea of regime change from the US has been proven to be an idiotic idea.

That is irrelevant though as we went there anyway and have destabilized the area. There is no damn choice anymore but to finish it. The constant bombing is not going to accomplish anything other than killing more people and creating more terrorists. We either need to shit or get off the pot. Go in there with a plan to finish this or get the hell out of there and count our losses. I have no idea where this idea that you can execute a war through nothing other than air power came from but it is asinine. You need ground forces with it or the air power cannot make real gains.

What is truly pathetic is that Obama is making the same mistakes that Bush did. Why did we not learn from our past mistakes?
