‘Ignore Guns, Talk Inflation’: Memos Show GOP Strategy After the Uvalde Massacre

For the last six years my classes have all been predominantly female and black or Hispanic.

Properly handled firearms don't just level the playing field they give would be victims a distinct advantage.

More deflecting and lies from the right – expect nothing from Republicans concerning gun crime and violence.

‘Stay cool. Run out the clock. Scare some gun nuts while you can. But don’t worry: this moment will be over soon.

That’s the message the Republican Party, Donald Trump, and conservative leaders rapidly coalesced around after a series of mass shootings in recent weeks, including at one at a Texas elementary school.

Several strategy memos and private communications, prepared for a variety of conservative candidates and organizations, reviewed by Rolling Stone in the days following the Uvalde school massacre were clear: change the topic to literally anything else, and let this news cycle run its course.

“Ignore guns, talk inflation,” one such memo, written for a top-tier GOP Senate candidate, succinctly reads, citing polling data of voter concerns ahead of the critical 2022 midterm elections. Other documents predictably decried liberal desires for “gun-grabbing” and “gun confiscation,” and made whataboutism-type references to gun violence in Chicago.’

Run out the clock until November, of course.

With control of Congress next January, Republicans can ignore mass shootings, gun crime and violence altogether.

Gee, how dare the Republicans talk about inflation, empty shelves, gas prices, your know, the stuff that affects EVERY American EVERY day. Dems are headed for an epic beating in November and are already desperately trying to deflect from actual issues.

You can eat all of Creepy Joe's shit you want. Just don't expect normal people to react with anything but disgust when you say it's yummy.

So it is like the Bible, you don't take the words at face value. You interpret them to fit your madness.
No, you just need to read it honestly in the language of the day and context of the times in which it was written.

It doesn't need interpreting.

You left wing morons will forget about this story within days. Its super easy to run out the clock on your low attention span party.

So I should be able to purchase a Claymore mine, LAW, TOW, etc., since they are also Arms.
Those are all ordnance.

Read Scalia's Opinion in the Heller Decision then you'll have at least some basis for an intelligent discussion.

We all knew that Democrats have always had attacking the right to bear arms as their agenda. During the presidential debates that was one of their main talking points.
What many failed to believe is that they would unmercifully sacrifice school kids in order to get that done.
Remember Kamalas 'In the first 100 days!!!" speech ?

So it's no surprise that getting America disarmed is their number one priority. They WANT Rome to burn, and they want no resistance during the process.

No YOU, in particular, should not. You're a cult extremist supremacist.

Besides, you're not a "brutha" at all but some scrawny white kid with an extremist liberal radical marxist far left agenda posing as one.
If you were really an angry black man you'd be 100% for all the guns and firepower you could get right now.

Imposter.
