That's bullshit. The prohibition of carrying a weapon only extends to the carrying inside a federal facility, as well as on the Capitol grounds.
If you want to carry it's best you not only understand the laws of your state, the rules of engagement, but the laws of the state where you mat travel to, and they change with the wind. Mexico has the toughest firearm laws of any country and that's really keeping them safe. District of Columbia State Gun Laws and Regulations Explained | NRA-ILA

Because the same court that convicted him unconditionally discharged at 34 counts.
No they didn’t.

Trump was guilty of 34 felonies
Because he was going to be President the judge declined to sentence

Of no consequence what so ever. He is President. In hindsight it was beneficial drawing voters to him.

The only thing which was more beneficial that Democrats did was try to assassinate him.

The shooter was Republican

The shooter was Republican

So what if I registered as a Democrat in the 2028 primary election so I could vote for the least likely candidate, thinking my vote would skew the vote count?

Would that officially make me a "Democrat"?

"Rush Limbaugh may be his real name, but to millions of Democratic grassroots voters, especially on the left, the conservative icon who's been called the most influential radio broadcaster in America reigns as the political Prince of Darkness.

Even more so during a 2008 presidential race in which Limbaugh has assumed a new title, "commander," as he heads a drive dubbed "Operation Chaos," a gleeful and, he argues, increasingly successful effort to wreak havoc with the Democratic primary system and its candidates, Clinton and Illinois Sen. Barack Obama.

Limbaugh's effort, which began early this year, is a call to arms urging conservatives and Republican voters to re-register as Democrats - and create chaos in that party's presidential nomination process by casting a vote..."

The shooter was Republican
So were his parents

If I steal a car and get caught, taking the car back and giving it to its rightful owner IS NOT PUNISHMENT. That is merely an attempt to undo the wrongdoing. After the car is taken back, we can talk about punishment for the theft.

If I come to a country illegally, removing me from that country is not punishment, it is merely reversing my crime. A fine or penalty IN ADDITION TO REMOVAL would be punishment, but "we" rarely take that step.

Apparently Occam's razor is a concept you libs find hard to grasp.

But even if could be proven that he was a "Republican", that means absolutely nothing. He was not a Trump-supporter and as far as I'm concerned, many so-called "Republicans" aren't worth a bucket of spit.

The crime is trespassing

If they are found to be working hard, staying out of trouble, give them work papers and let them stay

No harm, no foul

No it's not bullshit, you're mistaken:
Under 18 U.S. Code § 930, it is a federal crime to:
“Knowingly possess or cause to be present a firearm or other dangerous weapon in a federal facility…”
And specifically:
“The term ‘federal facility’ means a building or part of a building owned or leased by the federal government, where federal employees are regularly present for the purpose of performing their official duties.”
✅ Capitol grounds and buildings fall under this law, enforced by the U.S. Capitol Police.

🔹 The Capitol complex includes:

  • Capitol building
  • House and Senate office buildings
  • Capitol grounds (lawns, steps, surrounding sidewalks, etc.)
So, the claim that “the prohibition only applies inside” is incorrect.
In fact, carrying firearms on Capitol grounds violates both:
  1. Federal law
  2. Capitol Police Board regulations (which treat the entire complex as protected space)

If the conviction drew voters to him, then we are not a nation of laws.

As a nation, we were willing to accept a convicted felon as President

We can accept workers without the proper paperwork
