Well, if she wants equal pay she certainly isn't winning people over to her side by kneeling for the anthem. Which is why I find it hard to believe the anthem kneeling is about making a statement. Boys teams are regularly beating national women's teams. Here are a few examples:

Swedish national women's team asked a boys under 17 to play against them with only 10 players and the women were still beaten 3-0.

Watching women's soccer even at the national level is like watching amateur boxing. Respect should be given for the hard work put into training and effort put into a match but it is a very distant second in quality to top level men's sports.

Well, here's the reality, and judging by social media half the country feels the same way. They're fighting for equal pay. I get it and that's fine. Rapinoe went on Rachael Maddow and said fans need to buy tickets, shirts, etc for women's soccer. I was set to do that, but the politics involved became to much. So the Orlando Pride tickets I was going to purchase just became tickets for Real Madrid men's soccer. Shit happen's I guess. Good luck with that equal pay.
