If we won the war why is Iran making demands before an end to the war?

We have the means and power to flatten the whole nation back to the stone age if needed.
The issue is if we have the resolve to go that far.

Too many Americans oppose doing what is necessary (as seen with Vietnam, Iraq, Afghanistan) to win on terms favorable to the USA.

Our leadership is also on a similar horns of a dilemma since we aren't out to destroy the nation, just remove the theocratic regime. How much of the Iranian public wants such and is willing to support us in such an endeavor appears to be the conundrum of the moment.

A majority of the Islamic world, Dar al-Islam, has as one of their primary objectives the elimination of the state of Israel and it's Jewish population, if not all the Jews of the world. The other Muslim primary objective(agenda) is the conversion of the whole rest of the World to Islam.
It is unrealistic and height of ignorance (or aiding Islam in it's agenda) to think that Israel alone can spare the world from Islamic agenda of conquest and conversion. Islam has been engaged off and on (when their resources permit) in this global agenda for 1400 years now. It appears willing to continue another 1400+/- years if needed. Unless their "final days" prediction comes first.

The USA is immediately after Israel on the target list.

If all of what You've stated, has been accomplished, then how is it that the Strait of Hormuz, doesn't resemble a major American highway traffic jam, with all of the ships trying to get out, & deliver their cargoes?

How is it that Iran's "destroyed military" is still able to launch drones, & missiles against Kuwait, over the past 72 hours? How is it that Iran's "destroyed navy" can not only still lay mines, but also fire upon American vessels, & foreign ships?
