If we had the Christians on our side, abortion would be illegal in 5 minutes...

I keep expecting all these people that are antiabortion to have all these suggestions for how to take care of children and babies.

But I don’t see that. In fact what I see is, it’s not my kid why should I help it? When it comes to other peoples kids I don’t give a fuk.. She should learn to keep her legs closed.

So do these Republicans really want to help women and babies? Or do they just want to use babies as punishment?
Time to start passing laws that control men's bodies.
Already got em. Ever heard of Alimony, or Child support?
Oh...do those laws only apply to men? Period?
Peruse the application; and you tell us... Buh-bye...
I have....and there ARE women who have to pay child support. There ARE women who pay alimony. There ARE NOT men who get pregnant.

Try again.
Still waiting on those numbers sweet cheeks... Don’t worry... We’ll wait...

The fact is, Christians are all over the place on abortion. All we really have in our corner are the evangelicals and the Catholics, and not even all of them.

Some Christian denominations are actually PRO-ABORTION and a pastor will often counsel a girl or woman to abort her child instead of keep it.

The corrupt and failing mainstream Protestant denominations are the worst offenders.

If the religious folk would just keep their goddamn noses in religion & OUT of politics, the world would be a better place.

No first amendment for them!

Nonsense.

It’s perfectly appropriate and consistent to oppose abortion based on religious beliefs while recognizing a woman’s right to privacy and opposing the state compelling women to give birth against their will.

Simply find the means to end abortion that comports with the Constitution and privacy rights jurisprudence.

There are other and more effective ways to end the practice of abortion besides ‘banning’ it.

According to the Constitution, ALL persons are entitled to the protections of our laws.

That is pretty damn inclusive.

If you were not such a chicken shit and running from my deate challenge, I could use your ignorance and denials to educate others on why that part of the Constitution is inclusive enough to include children in the womb.

Waiting in the bull ring.
"All persons"...when does personhood begin in the eyes of the law?

Actually, they can practice not having abortions all they want...all day and all night long. It's when they try to rewrite our secular laws to FORCE others to abide by their religious beliefs that problems occur. It's not a coincidence that the religions working the hardest to limit the rights of women in regard to their own bodies are the religions that denigrate women the most in general.

Our most recent (fetal HOMICIDE laws) say conception.

So much so that they have to make an exception to permit abortions.

It's time we remove that exception.

I happen to agree with you on much of that.

However, it is not my fault that people can arrive at the same point through their religion that I have arrived at without religion.

I suggest you google "atheists against abortion" and enlighten yourself.

It doesn’t require faith to know that murdering children is wrong...

Wait...are you denying that any women pay alimony and/or child support? :71: Yes or No.

Children? Of course....it's just as wrong as separating them from their parents and locking them in cages.

The problem with preachers is they know they can get the sheep to do whatever because none actually READ and study scripture. They pop 2 aspirin (for the hangover), put on a suit and go listen and drop $25 in a plate. Then its off to the pizza joint (or titty bar) until next week

Still waiting... Yawn...
Wait...are you denying that any women pay alimony and/or child support? :71: Yes or No.

Oh...and while I am waiting for your denial.....More women are now paying alimony and child support

Hardly a Male-only law now, is it?
Insert Jeopardy theme music here.... Still waiting...
Let me help you with that...
The disparity between enforcement of failing to pay child support and custodial interference is particularly calamitous for fathers, who represent 87.1 percent of child support payers and 82.6 percent of noncustodial parents, according to the U.S. Census.

So? Are you trying to foist a law that is for everyone on us as if it is a law only applying to males? :21:

As it is applied almost exlusively to males, except under the rarest, and most dire of circumstances, ie; woman goes to prison or other serious criminal offenses? Yes. Yes I am. It’s called reality. You should try it sometime.
Though... If I had to wager... I’d be willing to bet you already have. Probably a couple times now...

For me, babies are a gift from God, and if you are blessed with one then you were chosen by God to bring that baby into this Earth and to make sure it has the best life possible. When God provides the spark inside the womb and starts that precious life it's not our duty, our responsibility, or our right to choose whether it lives or dies in my opinion. Our country's adoption system is broken though in my opinion and really needs to be reformed and made more efficient.
You mentioned god 3 times and you do know a lot of us don't believe in god right?

So what? You're in the RELIGION forum. You don't want to hear about God, LEAVE
What we really see is the younger generations are increasingly in favor of this practice. Likely due to a number of reasons. Growing up in single mother households, and the gynocentric court systems that many of these children observed destroying one parents life in favor of another. A system to which the child is ultimately a victim. The free falling number of today’s men of marriageable age; who never plan to marry speaks loudly to the fact that they aren’t willing to have their lives destroyed in the same manner as their fathers, and countless others. So unfortunately they sometimes support the practice, over being extorted in the name of a child they’ll never have an opportunity to be a father to...
Conversely despite the legality of abortion in contrast to faith. Of the people I know who have actually had abortions 5 out of the six have been self itentified Christians of one brand or another.

What you said is: atheists don't approve of abortion. What I did was: prove you way wrong on that.

No... You didn’t... However... We Both know for a fact; that Christians get abortions. As much as you’d like to think otherwise; abortion isn’t a religious issue. It a legal, ethical, and moral issue. And all of these human traits existed long before the Christian religion plagiarized the religions before it...

Sorry, but I am thinking about time to pass laws that controls men's bodies just like anti-choice people want to control women's bodies. Maybe that will get their attention then.
