Libya wasn't a ******* war.. damn dude know what your talking about before you speak. It just makes you look ignorant..
We took sides in a sovereign nation's civil war and dropped bombs on the designated enemy as well as deployed covert forces on the ground to support our Libyan allies. If we didn't participate in a foreign war on the other side of the Atlantic then neither did France in 1778.
btw, France's participation in the US Revolutionary War was the final nail in the deficit spending coffin that brought about the French Revolution.
The international community answered the cries of help from the Libyan people to help them. What the UN authorized was a "no fly zone" and the UN mandate strictly said NO OUTSIDE GROUND FORCES MAY ENTER THE COUNTRY. There was debate at one point for America to send CIA Operatives to teach the rebels how to fight, but that never passed. Here is what happened with Libya:
President Barack Obama authorized limited military action against Libya Saturday, saying Moammar GadhafiÂ’s continued assault on his own people left the U.S. and its international partners with no other choice. The Pentagon said 112 cruise missiles were launched from US and UK ships and subs, hitting 20 targets.
Obama said military action was not his first choice.

so I ask you again... how is launching 112 missiles, a war lol. It was a military action, which the President can do without asking congress. The power to declare war reside only within congress. The U.S. was bashed for not doing "enough" in Libya. Go figure, the one time we try to stay out of it, and the international community throws a fit..
