Can two men do it alone?

There is always a Rhino in the GOP in Congress to put the breaks on substantive change that is needed.

We even saw this from Trump's appointed SCOTUS member, you know, that Amy girl who stopped Trump from dealing with the massive spending problem.
She stopped Trump from not paying the bills on WORK THAT WAS ALREADY DONE AND COMPLETED. Which the crooked Trump is infamously known for doing in his private business.

She and Roberts were constitutionally correct. The other 4 justices that did not vote to make the govt pay for work contracted and completed, should be questioned by you!

Right, ignore the other 4 judges who disagree with the Left because they are unconstitutional Nazis

Thanks for that dolt.

I think in the long view yes. We have a once in a lifetime opportunity to right the ship, and with all the damage Democrats did to this nation, it will take all four years, if not longer to correct.
.

My bet is longer, and what is of huge importance is keeping sensible government in place, so we have twelve years beyond the end of President Trump's term.

Dems are doing their best to assure that happens with their behavior at President Trump's recent address, and Bernie allowing a really filthy, perverted performance at his rally, just to begin with.

With the radicals still around, this is going to continue to happen, giving us a good chance of keeping sensible government in place.

.

We don't have a spending problem. We don't have a taxing problem.

We have a TAXING AND SPENDING problem.

Until both silly ends of our political spectrum are kind enough to extricate their heads from their asses, we will remain in profound fiscal danger.

Oh yeah, don't get me wrong. I hope the rudderless dems keep up the nonsense....Not only is it great content, but it helps up open more eyes as to just how anti American the democrats are.

True. It will take longer than four years to correct this mess. Trump is using a wrecking ball instead of a salvage operation. Not good.

If Trump and Elon fail to get a handle on spending, will it be the end of the Republic?

We all saw how inflation started to take off now that paying interest on the national debt is more than any other expenditure for the US government.

Will voters give Trump the boot in 2 years by electing a hung jury to impeach him 20 more times and maybe shoot at him another dozen times because the stock market is no longer being propped up by government spending?
Had to answer yes. This is our shot. If it fails it will get us in the end at some future point. In fact, it will get the entire world, bringing on a great depression that makes the last one look like a tea party.

What kind of nonsense are you talking now?

Not to worry life long basement dweller, Trump is in now, and he's got this.... ;)

It's like the credit crisis. You had mortgages that should not have been given to people who could not pay, then everyone was happy. Home owners were happier because there were more of them, politicians were happier because voters were happier, then Wall Street mixed these bad mortgages into "investments" that were so complicated, Warren Buffet could not even figure out what they were, so people bought them out of ignorance. Everyone was happier........................until.................................the bubble burst. Then everyone loses pretty much everything they have

That is how I see the end of what will happen in the US as well, unless inflation slowly ramps up causing people to become angrier and angrier and desperate to do God only knows what.

We have a TAXING AND SPENDING problem.
Too much spending on imports. Internal spending by the government is just recirculating our tax money back into the domestic economy. So, the problem is more private spending than public spending.

If Trump and Musk are unable to get a handle on spending, will it be the end of the Republic?

What Republic?
The Republic died with the election of 1860.
Calling what we have now a Republic is like referring to the Roman Republic under Nero.

You have to fund what you pay for. Is this that hard of a concept for you?

Neither party is funding their spending, although Trump is at least trying to pay for the tax cuts he wants. He seems to believe that tax cuts and tariffs will lead the US out of big deficits, but I think instead it will lead the US into recession and higher inflation. The democrats on the other hand try to raise taxes on the wealthy and the big corps, but that does not come close to the ridiculous amounts of money they want to spend. They do not seem to realize that those rich people and large businesses drive economic growth through investing in startups and business expansions. The result? Stagflation.

IMHO, it's no longer a question of if, it's a question of when. Will the republic withstand the economic disaster that awaits? I don't see any effort at all that leads to fiscal sanity no matter who is in the White House and who controls Congress. Nobody cares about the future, it's all about the next election. So, when the shit finally hits the fan, could someone install him or herself as a dictator? Could be, if things get bad enough.

No he isn't. If so the budget wouldn't increase by trillions and that it will.

Economics 101.

They say that is what they are going to do but they never actually try.

I've been saying this for a long time.

The end of the republic is something democrats have been working towards for decades. The end of the republic was shitstain Obama's campaign promise. What democrats have against Trump is his recovery of America as a viable entity.

They just upped the debt limit by over 4 TRILLION for tax cuts. JFC

The argument is that perhaps it could be done cheaper without affecting the social programs except to remove corruption and stealing. Saving what you call Democracy is important, for there are no shortage of sadists who if they come to power with their henchmen will crush skulls and kill with impunity with the help of foolish citizens. For now, they are held back.
