Silly you, there is no passage of time in heaven, there can only be a passage of time in ordinary space.

The LDS view of the celestial kingdom of God is that those who are faithful and also receive eternal marriage in this life will continue on to become Gods and will eternally have the ability to procreate. When Jesus taught:

Matthew 22:28-30
28 Therefore in the resurrection whose wife shall she be of the seven? for they all had her.
29 Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God.
30 For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven.

The Sadducees asked Jesus about who will be married to a woman in the resurrection who had several husbands in this life. Jesus tells them that in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven. In the LDS faith this applies to those who do not have the sealing or binding power here on earth and their marriages will not continue. However, Jesus gave his apostles power that whatsoever they bind on earth it will be bound in heaven.

Matthew 18:18
18 Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

This means that if you bind a marriage on earth that it will also be bound in heaven. We believe that God our Eternal Father in Heaven is eternally bound to a wife and through her, he has a continuation of the seed forever. Thus He is a God. We believe that through this sealing or binding power, which we believe was restored through the prophet Joseph Smith, we can perform eternal marriages. These marriages must be performed here on earth because they do not perform marriage in heaven. These are ordinances of the gospel that can only be performed here on earth. So those who receive an eternal marriage and remain faithful here on earth will be able to rise to the highest degree in heaven and be able to become like God himself. They will have a continuation of the seed forever and ever. Those who do not receive eternal marriage through the proper priesthood authority, and remain faithful to Jesus while on this earth, will not be married in heaven but will be as the angels of God in Heaven and help in the work of salvation for those on mortal worlds. This sealing or binding power is only had within the true church of Jesus Christ and is a means of gaining exaltation in the kingdom of heaven. The Sadducees were not a part of Christ's church and this is why he answered them as he did.

How do you know?

Well, I don't usually get into deeply personal stuff with strangers on the internet.

But let us take this purely from a practical, scientific, objective vantage point:
The passage of time is directly linked to the electron spin of the atom and the vibration of matter, a function of 3-dimensional space, thus why Einstein refers to space as spacetime, since this spin and vibration is basically what time is a measure of. It is impossible to separate time from space, and space is a property of matter. Matter cannot exist without both space and time since matter takes up space and consumes time.
But heaven by definition is not within our universe, and being astral/spiritual, is not composed of matter you can pick up and hold in your hand. So, point being that for matter to exist, it must take up space (the three dimensions), and space cannot be without time because time is the ephemeral quality of entropy--- the unavoidable change and decay of matter with time, what we call aging.

Matter is forever in a state of change, matter has a beginning, an ending, and is constantly changing under the forces around it, and change takes time, therefore matter takes time and time is space.

Realize that even a light ray traveling across the universe of space takes time.

But since Heaven is fixed and ageless, and a person going to heaven essentially remains there forever unchanged and does not age, and heaven does not contain nor take up ordinary matter nor space, it cannot suffer either the passage of time.

How can you have time in heaven, a place whose defining quality is being a realm outside of spacetime? You can't fly a spaceship to heaven, but you can fly a spaceship to anywhere in spacetime.

Being in Heaven is being in a state of oneness with God, so, being in Heaven, you are in a state of knowing and doing everything all at once while not needing to do anything because everything is already done. So how can you possibly be bored?

The very question in the OP is non-sequitur since it asks the impossible: what do you do up there all day long! The very precept of the question implies SEPARATENESS (your being you to need to do things and running out of things to do) in a place which has no separateness. Heaven isn't a hotel at a recreation center, it is an abode.

Can you understand this?

Different faiths have different views of heaven.

According the LDS faith, those in heaven have an eternity of performing plays and doing arts and crafts.

OTOH, the Roman Catholic Church has the saints in heaven answering prayers of the faithful here on earth and dealing with tasks like helping them connect with the ball when they are up at bat or helping them to find lost car keys.

I’m LDS and have never heard this. First of all, after death and before our own resurrection we go to either Paradise or Hell. Those in Paradise are doing missionary work for those in Hell. Obviously there are other work we will be doing. Those in Hell, not sure what they will be doing.

Well, if one were to believe the hymn “Anazing Grace:

"When we've been there ten thousand years, Bright shining as the sun, We've no less days to sing God's praise than when we first begun”

So it would seem that Heavenly residents spend their time kissing God’s ass. If so, thsts just another reason why I’m not interested in going to Heaven.
Have any idea what Satan will have you be doing? Maybe you shouldn’t be so quick with your mouth

I’ve been considering that for 24 years; since I walked away from the church on 8/22/2001. Honestly it can’t be any worse than what your God has done to me for the last 51 years and did to my father at the end of his life. I have no interest in being in the presence of your God for even a nanosecond.
