There is no conclusion suggesed here, simply a question with possible answers.

1."As Justice Arthur Goldberg declared in a 1963 Supreme Court case, the Constitution 'is not a suicide pact. '"
Google.

2. AI Overview
Lincoln suspended habeas corpus to suppress dissent and maintain order during the Civil War, allowing the military to arrest and detain individuals deemed a threat to public safety without formal charges. This allowed authorities to silence pro-Confederate sympathizers, such as the "Copperheads," (Democrats) who opposed the war effort.

3. Article I, Section 9, Clause 2:

The Privilege of the Writ of Habeas Corpus shall not be suspended, unless when in Cases of Rebellion or Invasion the public Safety may require it.

4. In the NYTimes today, we see the Democrat house organ publishing a huge article accusiing Trump of lawfare, never having offered the same attack on the orinators of lawfare, the Democrats.

5. “Bow to the emperor”: 50 legal experts on the Trump presidency
"Before the election, The New York Times Magazine surveyed 50 legal experts about what a second Trump term could mean for the rule of law.A year later, they're very, very worried."

Worried about Trump?
Do they have grounds?

If the Time's "legal experts" are worried about steps the Trump administration has taken, that echo what the Democrats did.....not including attempted assassinations.......should we consider Trump as a problem, or see his efforts, like Linconln's, as attempts to maintain America's traditional aims, values and heritage????

No one here is unbiased. Bias is the very reason we come here! We wear our biases on our sleeves.
A valid point.

But a well thought out response to the OP would raise the general level of posts......don't you agree?

Trump has taken lawfare to a whole NEW level. No president has done what he has attempted to. You don't like a prosecutor's decision so you replace the prosecutor?????

Perseveration is a common symptom of schizophrenia and is characterized by the unintentional repetition of a behavior or response in an inappropriate context. It can range from simple motor responses to more complex behaviors.

Perseveration can be a sign of a failure to mobilize cognitive resources or inhibit responses that are not appropriate for a task. It can also be associated with:
  • Positive thought disorder

  • Voluntary motor disturbance

  • Capacity-demanding tasks, such as prompted discourse, reversal learning, and generating guessing sequences
Perseveration is a measure of impaired executive function and cognitive flexibility. It reflects an inability to redirect attentional resources after a learned response is no longer relevant.

Some examples of perseveration include:
  • Repeating thoughts on a loop until a new thought replaces them
  • Repeatedly marking the same letters on a paper, even though the writing is already clear and easy to read

I'm sorry, I didn't know. I didn't realize that you keep reposting the same cut & paste stuff over and over because you have a mental impairment. Best wishes on a speedy recovery.

True. Not all bias is bad. I’m a partisan for our Constitutional republic, for instance. I’d say that it isn’t a bad bias at all.
