Venezuela is an example of what happens when The People try to fight an entirely corrupt plutocracy by clawing back the ownership of the economy. No experiment in broad nationalization of resources has ever been allowed to develop. The capitalists of the world declare war on it every time even if the former leaders were monsters. But WIFI isn't available to rural, low population areas, and in many parts of the US, isn't available at all, because there's not enough of a market for it to make it profitable.

Now, low population and profit potential have left vast swathes of the country without adequate WIFI for business applications to function. In Europe and Canada, we saw the opportunities for WIFI and internet commerce and made high speed WIFI available all across the country, using government infrastructure investment. In other countries, we were ready for ecommerce in remote locations. The US can't even give decent WIFI in for farmers in the midwest.

The most successful countries are those who have mixed economies with private ownership and production, and government funded services and infrastructure which benefit all citizens, not just the elites.

The "private economy" they have isn't where it matters. The state controls fuel, energy, communication, and the food & water supply. Mom and pop stores selling household goods do not sustain a nation.

The government regulates these industries, it does not own them.

Companies exist to make a profit. In order to make a profit you have to produce a good product. Government does not need to make a profit, therefore there is no incentive to make a good product, and that is why every government industry is a mismanaged bureaucratic disaster that is constantly losing money.
