Zone1 If secular progressives think Jesus isn't real, why do they hate him?

Most major religions/spiritual people of the world follow (or at least incorporate) a form of Jesus' primary teaching which is, "Love your Neighbor as Yourself"

- A form of the "Golden Rule".

That could be - but if you are religious and practice in an organized religion - you would more likely be Christian vs any other organized religion.

Christianity is has the most amount of followers at 2.38 billion people (Approximately 31% of the population of the world) vs any other organized religion.

Modern Christianity teaches Peace and Love and that there are consequences for actions (except for the pretenders who set up churches for financial gain).
Do all other religions teach this as much as Christianity?

In my opinion, some people are "turned off" by Christianity because they associate it with political conservatism. This is due (in part) by the way some Christian sects have represented themselves and also (in part) by the way the media represents Christianity - usually based off what they see from these specific "sects".

The reality is that Christianity is socially conservative but politically balanced - both the Old and New Testaments speak repeatedly about being socially conservative BUT to "Take care of one another, help the poor, help the needy, do not speak harshly to one another, do not judge one another and so forth".
