All politicians lie cheat and steal. LOL

I don't believe any election was stolen. But given the chance I think both sides would do it in a heart beat.
Another thing. It looks more and more to me that the dems are just becoming sore losers. They can't win, so they blame others for it.
Google Karl Rove to answer your question.
Gore & Kerry won the last two elections. If you add those to Clinton's run, Democrats were elected everytime since daddy bush was thrown out of office.
Why is it even close? God, Gays and Guns. The GOP have mastered the wedge issues. They get middle class people to vote against their own financial interests.
That's right, you are voting outside your tax bracket.
They scare people into thinking terrorists will strike us if the dems win. They say taxes will go up. They say things like, "tax and spenders".
And the typical voter is not that brite. You know that's true.
Also consider the Southern Strategy:
In American politics, the Southern strategy refers to a Republican method of carrying Southern states in the latter decades of the 20th century and first decade of the 21st century by exploiting racism among white voters.

Here's your answer ^
"Progressives" rely on ham-handed caricatures and sour grapes that prevent them forming valid strategies and align their agenda with that of the people they seek to govern.
The people know the elections weren't stolen and the reason why gays and guns are "wedge issues" is because people don't want to be forcibly disarmed or have gays treated as if their behavior is somehow normal. Add in the perception that the so-called southern strategy is nothing but a racist ploy is in effect calling that self-same bloc of states a bunch of bigots so who the hell wants to vote for some jackhole that totally misreads your motives (not that he'll shut-up long enough to listen to you) and uses that misreading to insult you to your face.
"Progressives" trot out the the same talking points every election cycle.
You can't call a nation that is 80% Christian and bunch of uneducated fundies and expect them to vote for you.
You can't call whites racists by virtue of their skin color and expect a nation that is 85% white to vote for you.
You can't call a nation that gushes money for every natural disaster from hurricanes down south to tsunamis across the globe mean-spirited money-grubbers and expect them to vote for.
The party of entitlements tends to feel entitled, so when they don't get what they feel is automatically due them they get snarky and ill-tempered. They mean well so obviously, to them, if their good intentions are thwarted it must be other people and they can't possibly be nice because only "progressives" are allowed to appear nice. This in turn leads to a total inability to win unless they use the Clinton strategy of appearing centrist.

We've seen why this year. Obama should be up 10-12 points. But instead of focusing on a few major themes, he and the Dems have a weak, scattershot approach of throwing every minor point they can find, and in the process have drowned out their own message with nonsense about pregnant teenagers, troopers, what George Bush said in 2003, etc.
O should tell his friends at CNN and MSNBC to STFU about every detail of Palin's life or Bush's record, and set an agenda around a couple major themes.
And in action:
Booboo states that we're "not that brite"
Proof both that the left despises Americans, and they just aren't that smart themselves.
