Also MLK day, black history month.

No one I know celebrates Cinco de Mayo and it isn't a holiday anywhere that I am aware of.

It is in Texas. Not just for people whose family is from Mexico, but for all Texans because we live on land that was once dominated by Europe and for which the events of May 5th, 1962 marked an important step in ending that domination.

Always nice to celebrate an upset victory over the French.
