Nothing a human being can do is simpler than preventing pregnancy. Put on a condom or take a little pill. Both are damn near 100% effective, if one isn’t dumb.

I don't think laws can prevent all evil. If attempting to prevent evil does more harm than good, it's not worth doing. In my opinion, taking away the most fundamental aspect of individual liberty (control over one's own body) from half the population is worse than killing something that is 'unborn', regardless of whether you consider it a person, or a soul, or state property.
