Let's remember that Trump took all sorts of questions from a hostile press, and didn't walk out, simply took question after question.

Now, 'journalists,' that's the term for Democrats with press passes, asks their fellow party member insightful questions like....which is your fav ice cream flavor.

So, let's see how many of these real questions he gets asked:

1. Why is the Wuhan more advanced and widespread today than under Trump?

2. Does he favor school and business lockdowns?

3. Since he caused inflation, what will he do to end it?

4. If the Wuhan isn't a hoax, why has he allowed an open border, millions of untested migrants in, and simply shipping them all over the nation?

5. Does he favor voter ID?

6. Can he define Critical Race Theory, and does he favor it being taught to school children?

If they do ask him these questions, I believe we'll see why two-thirds of Americans see him....and Democrat policies....as failures.

LOL, my puppy typed that when she jumped up to get petted.

It does seem that Biden is becoming dysfunctional too by not being able to answer to that sort of question. If he was sharper he would have answered that attack with a counter attack.

But there's little doubt that America is in an era in which presidents and their politics aren't to be taken seriously anymore.

The only difference between the two is that Trump was asked a serious question that deserved an answer, even if it was obviously a 'gotcha' question.

Having lived now in Canada, coming from an Asian background, I would say that Canada has several issues that I think need to be addressed:
  • Low levels of political engagement: Turnout is not very high in many Canadian elections and people are cynical (Voter Turnout and https://www.cbc.ca/radio/thehouse/m...stitutions-is-dwindling-says-survey-1.5118356). I would advocate for a reward system for people to become knowledgeable about our nation and civic engagement. Perhaps a Swiss style referendum system would also be worth looking into.
  • Growing economic inequality: A very serious problem right now in Canada, because high inequality leads to social problems. An even bigger problem is that the economy is not working out for many Canadians, especially in the bottom 80%. There is also a permanent underclass, particularly among Aboriginals. The housing market in Vancouver and Toronto is not affordable and in a bubble state. See: Canadians spend more income on housing than almost anyone in the world
  • Very short term oriented: In the business world, there is an excessive focus on quarterly profits over long term ones. There is also little investment in employee training. On the infrastructure and R&D front, there is too little investment, leading to few jobs, and less innovation in Canada. Funding for education also should increase and I would advise a student debt relief program to allow the next generation a serious shot at middle class status.
The myths about Canada's skill gap

Note that it is worse than the US. Be more like the Swiss or the Nordic nations it would seem is the way to go.
Note the decline in R&D too since about 2005. It peaked around 2001 and then seemed to stagnate, but is now in rapid decline. Business R&D is falling rapidly, and government R&D is falling slowly too.
Canada’s Innovation Conundrum: Five Years After the Jenkins Report

First of all, the Canadian government must immediately reverse the trends since 1981 of cutting. Even more shocking is the drop in business R&D.
Note of course how bad business R&D is compared to the rest of the world:

It is well documented that there is a clear double standard in the media for DJT vs Brandon. To deny that is to deny reality.

And not just the media.

Once again you've taken your thread off-topic. If you want to talk about Canada's shortcomings then start a topic for that discussion.

But I have to warn you to stay away from comparing freedom, health care, quality of life, and some others that lead you down a one-way street. All that accomplishes for you is you needing to turn to childish insulting behaviour.

Let me suggest: Canada needs US protection against some unknown enemy?

Be sure to drop back when you live in a free country, y'hear!!!

I guarantee you he will call on reporters. It won't be spontaneous. He could not handle that. You'll kill him

Hopefully he goes on a dementia ridden rant and shats his pants

The whole world is waiting for this rare event

I wouldn't deny that. The MSM right throughout the world is down on Trump and mocking him for his behaviour.
But recently Biden hasn't fared any better.

Americans will tear down their presidents at their own peril. Constrast Putin and Biden's public images when negotiating one on one.
Or worse, Xi and Biden!

And not just the media.

I read your link, thanks. Viva La Resistance!

I do not believe the Progressives are going to go quietly though. Maybe we'll have another grass roots movement similar to the Tea Party, or maybe it'll actually take a serious depression to get people stirred up enough to want a return to responsible, limited gov't.

It's her thread she can do what she wants.

Are you now telling OPs how to run their own threads socialist idiot

This link posted within Chicy's link seems to get to the point much quicker, and by the same author.
The photo of Biden and Xi together speaks a thousand words!

There's great danger in tearing down the country's leader for the sake of domestic politics! How much damage can Biden do in his remaining 2 1/2+ years?

I hope the whole world understands that the failures are not Biden policies.....they are Democrat Party policies.

You can't simply vote for another Democrat and expect anything different.

I'm highly encouraging Chicy to do what she wants. She can make this one into a thread on Canada for us but she needs to find some specific topic of criticism. I've just suggested she try the illusion of Canada's military dependence on America.

Full disclosure: I'm not an optimist.

The Democratic party is as disjointed and dysfunctional as the other party. American politics is crashlanding in the corruption of domestic graft.

The Dems blew the opportunity to go anti-establishment and Trump's halfassed attempt to do likewise was fraudulent and phony.

But let's get back to Canada.
