If ISIS defines Islam, then Jim Jones and Giuliani define christianity

"Jones began deriding traditional Christianity as "fly away religion," and rejected the Bible as being white men's justification to dominate women and enslave people of color."

Jones did not believe in the bible.

Islamic radicals believe in the book of Mohammed and follow it.
Jim Jones-
“Nobody’s gonna come out of the sky!” Jim Jones informed his flock. “There’s no heaven up there. We’ll have to have heaven down here."

Obama has taken the US to war and continues war.

Obama has killed Americans without due process.

Obama supports abortion.

Obama has a drone program that kills innocent people almost everyday.

So using your criteria what Giuliani said about Obama not being Christian makes sense.

What doesn't make sens is YOU. Jones was the ultimate in liberal, he is the obvious climax of liberal thought. He USED Christianity like all tyrants use Christianity. Much like the democrat slave holders tried to use it to sooth their tortured souls.

But to make a comparison to ISIS is really, really idiotic. Jones beheaded no one and Giuliani has not either.
So you're saying that beheading 35 is different that poisoning 900. That's a hell of an "idiotic" way to defend Jim Jones.
Yet Jones professed to be christian...like ISIS professes to be Muslim.

If anything ISIS considers themselves to be the real followers of the prophet.
They are the real true Muslims.

.

Then the Mormons who still practice polygamy are the real Mormons?

lol

When in the hell, will you ever quit lying?
How telling is it that these RWnuts insist that terrorism committed by Muslims must be a reflection of Islam as a whole,

but they totally reject ANY wrongdoing of ANY Christian for ANY reason as being a reflection of Christianity as a whole.

Yes, Christianity has an evil history. Americans should be very thankful that we are a nation of secular laws that prevent us from being ruled by biblical extremists. We are ruled by the "Godless" U.S. Constitution - not the Bible. Just imagine if the cruel and violent Old Testament replaced our Constitution. Be thankful for secular sanity.

The poster above said:

'If anything ISIS considers themselves to be the real followers of the prophet.

We'll see when he pops in and attributes the same principles to Christian terrorists who consider themselves the real followers of the Bible.

See if he identifies them as the real true Christians.

What in hell scares people about talking about America's foundation of faith?" Palin continued. "It is that world view that involves some people being afraid of being able to discuss our foundation, being able to discuss God in the public square, that's the only thing I can attribute it to."

Oh Gawd, another Communist/Progressive wanker screeching their hatred for Christians. Gee, how original. So surprising. Is that you Obama??

And the inquisition defines chrisitanity, along with David Koresh and the rest of the right wing nut jobs in congress. Lindsey Graham and John McCain both claim to be christian, and they're two of the biggest war mongers in the Senate. Does this country really believe that's what Jesus is all about?

Giuliani has taken the GOP to a new low. If the extremist (so called) christians in this country could get away with it,they'd kill liberal Americans the way ISIS kills other Muslims.
Nope. The Qur'an, Muhammad's example, and oral tradition define Islam. The more you know. :)

I would draw you a picture, but this forum doesn't have that ability. Try a reading comprehension class.

I'm aware of what you were trying to say. You were trying to say that it's an aberration to Qur'anic Islam because the Inquisition was Biblical Christianity, and that Christians want to kill liberals. I was making the point that a religion shouldn't be judged on the actions of its followers, positive or negative, but should be judged on its authoritative teachings as defined in its specification documents. I'm not going to bother addressing your second assertion.

When you say "Nope" it looks like you are not understanding and disagreeing. Now that you elaborate it's clear that you don't need the class, but were changing the topic.

Yes they are. Neither Christianity or Islam is an inherently peaceful religion. The only thing separating the average person from the terrorist is how literally you take your holy book. If anything ISIS should be called "good" practicing Muslims. :D

Jones didn't act like one, ISIS.....? Well since most of the violance in the world involves Islam....well.....all I can say to you is allahu akbar.
You are totally blind to the violence that the U.S. has done to the Muslim world.

And you're totally blind to the scourge of humanity known as islam. Stuck in the 7th century for 1400 years.

They weren't stuck in the 7th Century when they built the Alhambra were they?

The Ten Commandments command that you shall have no other Gods before you.

Is that what the Founders formalized in the Constitution?

No. They said just the opposite.

What wrongdoings are you speaking about? Did Jim Jones launch an attack on anyone in the name of God? Did the Branch Dravidians attack the ATF or were they attacked? Was Roudoft supported by any domination? Was Phelps anything more then a jerk running what he called a Church? Has there actually been a lot of Church sponsored wrong doing? Has there been a lot of pastor calling for jihad as has imams?

The Crusades were a 1000 years ago, time to get into the 21st century you and Islam.

No. They said just the opposite.

They actually said neither because Islam was not interwoven in society at the time.

What is two faced about the liberal left is their defense of Islam. IF someone says that that founders were Christian they will be all over that pointing out that was not true. Yet here is Obama saying that Islam was interwoven into our society, at that time, and the left just poo poos it as another Obama lie they have to defend.

Liberals equate a protest at an abortion clinic with jihad, wow that takes some balls.

The last time I checked, when a Christian commits a crime he is prosecuted just the same as anyone who is not a Christian.

Christians become Christians by accepting Jesus Christ and he was not mentioned in the Old Testament dumbass! Many of our present day laws are based on the Ten Commandments in case you missed that as well.

This is a widespread myth. Let's compare the Ten Commandments with US law:

1. “I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. You shall have no other gods before Me."
Freedom of religion is a constitutionally protected right. You can worship another god or group of gods alongside Yhwh or even another god or group of gods alone.

2. “You shall not make for yourself a carved image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth; you shall not bow down to them nor serve them. For I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate Me, but showing mercy to thousands, to those who love Me and keep My Commandments."
As above, you have a constitutional right to create an idol or icon of anything. It can be in the likeness of anything in the sky, underground, or in an underground river. You can bow down to them and pray to them if you want. Nobody can legally stop you from doing these things.

3. “You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain, for the Lord will not hold him guiltless who takes His name in vain.
There are no laws against any interpretation of this commandment. Say Yahweh or Yahuwah or Yahuwahu or however it's supposed to be said as much as you want. Say it in any context you want. You can't be prosecuted or stoned for saying a name.

4. “Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord your God. In it you shall do no work: you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger who is within your gates. For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it."
There are no legal restrictions in the US on working on any given day. Nobody is going to stone you to death for picking up sticks on the ancient Hebrew Sabbath.

5. “Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long upon the land which the Lord your God is giving you."
There are also no laws against failing to respect your parents.

6. “You shall not murder."
This is the first similarity between the Ten Commandments and US law. You can't murder people here either. It's a pretty common law in every civilized society for what should be obvious reasons.

7. “You shall not commit adultery."
Adultery is not a crime in the US outside of the military as far as I'm aware.

8. “You shall not steal."
Theft is also a crime in the US. That makes two of eight.

9. “You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor."
And perjury is illegal here too.

10. “You shall not covet your neighbor's house; you shall not covet your neighbor's wife, nor his male servant, nor his female servant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything that is your neighbor's.”
Envy is not only legal but the basis of our capitalist economic system.

So... Yeah... 3/10 Commandments, and all of them are common shit illegal basically everywhere.
