If I shake my fist at the sky and declare to God that I am impressed with neither his presence nor his proofs to date, and I challenge the aforementioned God to kill me now or forever be regarded and described by me as fictitious, does that prove anything?

Why would you say sky? Why can't it simply be the advanced future since it's called Olam Habah (world to come) that denotes future interacting with messaging the past to straighten our path and bring order out of this chaos.
For Genesis says: that Essence and power in life does not create from nothing, it creates order out of the chaos, to bring stability to an unstable world.
In Judaism the Creation's Creator is an Essence not a figure nor form nor man, hence we are not to anthropromorphize G-d nor use a persona name. All "names" are actually descriptions.
Since The power of life is not a persona the mediator best reflective of that Essence mediates and shows us that reflection to manifest and emulate that power in life.
That mediation can come from non linear time line yet seem to be anywhere from beginning to end, but actually start and exist at the end of linear time not the beginning, hence the "beginning is at the end" says Isaiah.
Therefore shake your fist at the future, not the sky, but don't blame the messengers who did warn you about the lawless ones and the time of moving to and fro at the time of trouble you've never seen that this will bring-Dan 12:1-4

They are common sense laws some which were passed along through the Noahide laws.
If you had them today instilled in our hearts and minds then you would not complain about the devastation of crime and political corruption you see today. You also would not have murders over covering one's hair, because nobody would covet your wife (so no need to hide them from those that do), and thou shalt not kill (murder).
