My point is that not all essential workers are at equal risk by still working. I work in a warehouse, and am usually at least 6 feet away from people at most times. My job isn't the equivalent of a store clerk who has to stand 2 feet away from hundreds of customers a day. My job isn't even as dangerous as being one of those customers.

I'm not sure how other states are doing it, but here in PA those on unemployment will receive an extra $600 a week. I have a sister who is unemployed, and she's nearly doubling her income by sitting on her ass.

That is quite generous of employers. And I support their decision to do so. However that does not mitigate the disparity of government agencies doling out money. In many cases more money to the sheltered at the expense of the exposed, while leaving the exposed without commensurate “hazard pay” for their risks, and efforts.
