Where is their “hazard pay? After all, they continually have to expose themselves, and their households to this potentially lethal menace every day. While those with petty, worthless jobs get to sit on their asses, and not only collect their checks, and get an overage on unemployment; they also get a “stimulus” check. So... Where’s the hazard pay?

Many have died for doing their jobs when others sit around at home bitching while the essential workers get ZERO.

many don't believe in this, and want to go back to work. open it up then.

Yesterday we were over 2,000 deaths in a day. President doesn't care, but the governors do. Nobody taking trump's "all powerful, total authority" crap seriously. After all, we already know he's nuts. Look at Smithfield meats. Governor sided with you, until Smithfield said hell no, 453 infected in one plant not worth it and downright dangerous.

maybe we'd have only been 1900 had we not been confined and held hostage. How in the fk can people who aren't out get so sick? please explain it. I have the answer, but you aren't smart enough to understand the actual answer.

Well, I looked back to see what I missed and still did not see it. Agree CDC and Federal and State Governments fkd up as proved by the dead, the dying and the spread. Since CDC did not confine anybody, are you angry at your Governor? Or my Republican Governor? Who is the bad guy here?

My job is considered essential as construction hasn't missed a day in MN. My job is hazardous with or without Covid 19.

My daily hazard is falling off the roof. Sure as hell am not even thinking about the "bug".

Actually, it does something. Being cooped up inside a house is worse for the immune system, because the body needs sunshine and fresh air. That combined with nonstop fear actually lowers the immune system. But this is not about truly caring about people’s lives, and anyone who believes it is is woefully naïve.

Just consider our receipt of the same amount as those not working to be our "hazard pay".

Except its not. The non"essentials get that, plus unemployment/time off, and in many states extra money over unemployment. The "essentially" employed are getting rewarded with less time home, and recieve no extra $600 bucks from the state. So "essential" workers lose both time, and money; all the while risking higher rates of exposure on behalf of society.

The workers without job because the so called "pandemic" are not receiving any salary but $1,200 compensation.

Then, what the hell are some people claiming about? If you don't want to take the risk of being infected by the virus, then tell your boss you prefer to stay home and be without pay and be happy solely with the $1,200.

Actually states are paying full salary unemployment, plus an extra $600 dollars a month in some states on top of that. So your offered rebuttal is "incomplete", if not totally incorrect. And that is not to mention the time, and risk factors. I do appreciate you trying though...
