Just for yer information, Lys, Black musicians (wannabees) I have encountered over the years at open mics, etc., don't have rhythm necessarily unless I lay down a tempo and hold them to it (when I play bass or drums), so they do respond accordingly. I love it when Black folks start physically feeling the groove when I play something. So yes there is something special about Black folks feeling the rhythm (of Whitey) more so than what typical Whitey feels.
