If Anyone Wonders Why I Left the Republican Party Just Look At the Cheney Vote

It didn't do shit except tie the hands of police departments and police officers. First of all it was race based policing. If a police officer seen a person of color peeling his tires and driving on the sidewalk, he couldn't pull him over if he already met his quota for pulling over non-white motorists. Every pull over had to be called in and get permission by the supervisor before he could exit his police car and continue addressing the violation.

Um, okay, can you point out where that happened?

The reality is, they couldn't pull over black people "Just because" anymore without getting scrutiny. Now, if they already pulled over 25 people that month for "Driving While Black", yes, someone might look at all 26 stops... but the guy driving on the sidewalk wouldn't be questioned. The other 25 might.

This was a serious problem for officers working in nearly all minority areas. They were limited to how many stops they could make because most everybody in that area was color. It had to balance out with stops made by police officers in mixed or white areas, because they would compile the data of the entire city to make unfounded assumptions. As a professional driver, I can tell you there are way more terrible drivers among blacks than whites.

Or maybe they could just stop making stops without probable cause. That'd be a great idea.

And what are historians? They are lefty socialists. Who cares what they think.

When your presidency began with a crooked election and ends with a riot in the capitol, and dozens of awful things in between, history isn't going to look well upon you.

Here, let me help you out. What was the average unemployment rate under Eisenhower? Without looking it up.

We do remember Ike as being a great man because of his service in WWII, and because he stood up to McCarthyism, and because he created the interstate highway system. People don't remember he had three mild recessions when he was president.

When people look back at Trump in 20 years, they aren't going to remember low unemployment he inherited from Obama. They'll remember the racism, they'll remember the Plague, they'll remember the riots. They won't distinguish between Minneaopolis and Charlottesville, or Portland and Washington. They'll remember that he so badly divided the nation that riots became part of our daily lives.

Enough with that leftist lie. Cops don't pull people over for no reason. Quit living in the 50's.

If you're breaking the law or you match the description of a person and vehicle they are in search of, they pull you over. When a police officer pulls you over, they always tell you the reason why. They don't say "I pulled you over for the hell of it." With cameras everywhere today, including body cams most police officers wear, somebody somewhere would be able to produce evidence of this myth.

I've heard our own police department pulling over cars after something like a robbery or assault. They call in the vehicle, dispatch runs the name and DL number, it turns out not to be the suspect they are looking for, and the officer explains to the driver why he or she was pulled over in the first place. Totally harmless unless it's a lowlife that wants to fight with the officer.

One night the police followed me home. They were tailgating me all the way to my driveway. When I turned in my driveway, they pulled into a parking lot across the street to watch me. I was a little nervous because I had a few beers. When I got inside, I turned on my scanner. Dispatch came back with my name and vehicle information. The officer replied that he didn't think I was "him" because I was carrying my bowling ball, had my bowling shirt on, and he said he seen me unlock my door and enter my house.

Donald Trump is not hated for his accomplishments which were many and great, Donald Trump is hated for his personality. Because of so many dumb ignorant voters, Biden is our President today instead of Trump. The Nazis used mail-in voting to get the stupid to vote, and they want to use it more in the future. So now we are going to be in the situation where commies and stupid people pick our leaders. This country is doomed unless enough of us take my suggestion and divide our country into two nations instead, separate, and never have anything to do with each other again. At least we could save half our country that way.

Bullshit. I've seen it happen.

Wow. They didn't say. That must mean it never happens. No, really.

Donald Trump is hated for his personality and his failures of leadership.

If your side's ideas were good, you'd have won more than one popular vote nationally since 1988.

Unless you are in the police car with the officers and they told you they were going to pull over a guy because he was black, you don't know anything.

Yeah, actually, I saw a car with two black guys driving down the street once, really kind of tough looking guys, and I said, "They're getting pulled over." A couple blocks later, they were.

So what? Did you know what the officer pulled them over for? Of course not. Your obsession with racism created some Fd up story. You made it all up in your own little mind.

Yeah, driving while black. That's what they got pulled over for. Two young black males in the "wrong' neighborhood.
You could have just admitted that you didn't know.

Is that what the two young black males told you? Did you have a police scanner to know why the officer pulled them over? Did you speak with the police officer? Of course not. You just seen an every day traffic stop where the motorist was black and the cop was white, and you created this Fd up story in your head.

They weren't doing anything during the time I observed them... that was the thing.

I mean, other than being black in the wrong neighborhood.

Oh, so you didn't hear the police call where they may have had expired plates, may have been wanted, may have had a brake light out when the officer stopped him, may have been involved in a domestic assault against his girlfriend or wife and the cops were looking for him. That's why you listen to a police scanner, so you understand police work much better.

Cops don't pull people over simply because of their race. It's too risky for them. The motorist could have a close relationship with the Mayor of that city. He may have a family member that is a superior to the officer. He may work in the federal justice system and get a civil rights suit slapped on the city. He may work in the media on television or newspaper. Every time a police officer pulls over a vehicle, they take a chance at getting shot.

There is a section of Cleveland that's considered a special tiny city called Lindale. Lindale made their money because the highway cut through their city. So they had cops doing speed traps all the time. It's just before the airport so as you can imagine, they got a lot of people late for their flight. One day a Lindale cop pulled over a speeder and wrote him a ticket. That speeder was a state rep, who then had legislation passed to prohibit Lindale from taking any laser on the highway. More than likely he lost his job.

Bottom line is a police officer has no idea who he is pulling over, so they don't pull people over because of their race.

Wow, that was an awfully lucky thing, that they just happened to have one of those things happen when these guys were passing by.

It couldn't be "they were in the wrong neighborhood".

Okay, if you really need to believe that.

Meanwhile, it the REAL world.

Wow. That's awesome. So a small town was abusing people with a speed trap, and someone got fed up about and did something about it. I mean, that's fucking awesome.

Yes the vote to remove Liz Cheney. 145-61 to allow her to stay in the 3rd most powerful position in the US House. Liz Cheney, who voted to impeach President Trump, gets an approval from 70% of House Republicans ? Than there was other anti-Trump vote against the alternate electors.

I have just had it with these RINO Trump haters. I am back to being an Independent again, as are tens of thousands (and growing) former Republicans. A recent Rasmussen poll shows support for new Trump PArty outvoting Republicans 23 to 17%.

Obviously, in order to defeat Democrats there can't be these 2 factions in existence. Something has got to go, and it sure isn't going to be the Trump supporters. So the anti-Trumpers by continuing on as they are, are having the Republican Party hemmoraghing members, and insuring Democrat wins in 2022.

Dear protectionist
Let's work on creating separate administrations.

Democrats and liberals use govt for social programming and general welfare. Like a secular equivalent of the Catholic church making policy and providing charity.

The Conservatives reject depending on a secular central govt to act as a Pope and collective policy fund, similar to Protestants teaching self governance and local ownership of church communities and outreach by people directly embodying the law and exercising equal authority.

In Christianity, people do NOT have to all be of the same denomination or church affiliation to pray and unite on principles.

Now we face the same challenge with uniting Christians on Constitutional laws and principles, regardless of party affiliation.

We don't have to agree on everything to unite.

What we need is to recognize where we don't agree, and collaborate on a system to ensure separate representation, taxation through tax breaks for investing in alternatives for self govt, and administrations. I suggest organizing equal representation by party, similar to states having sovereign authority through their own membership, managing internal policies for themselves first, and only delegating authority to federal govt or where all states (and now parties) agree on policy.

In addition to the current House and Senate, we need to orchestrate a Constitutional Council of reps per Party, to address resolve and correct conflicts over policies and funding and complaints of abuses as well as reimbursements, credits, and refinancing restitution and solutions by agreements between parties.

So Liberals and Democrats can fund their own administrative policies, and cover the interests and population demands of Progressives Socialists and Communists who want to coordinate resources and social policies through a single central govt or party system, while freeing up Conservative Republicans, Libertarians and Constitutionalists to fund and run the limited govt those Parties believe in while managing the rest by local democratic ownership.

That's only in your mind. Again, you have no idea why they were pulled over. You made that assumption because that's how your racist mind works.

Okay, if you really need to believe that.

In the real world the rest of us know blacks on average are worse drivers than other groups. Blacks on average drive older vehicles which are often in violation. Blacks get pulled over more often for the same reason they get arrested more often: because they commit more violations than whites.

Wow. That's awesome. So a small town was abusing people with a speed trap, and someone got fed up about and did something about it. I mean, that's fucking awesome.

What's abusive about taking laser? If you're not speeding, you have nothing to worry about. I haven't been pulled over for a moving violation in over 25 years, and I drove all day long.

The point I'm making is cops can get in trouble for simple traffic violations, so they're not pulling people over simply because of their race. Again, you're living in the 50s.

No, that's an assumption based on watching what the cops did.

Tell us again how you aren't racist, Ray, that shit never gets old.

Sounds like the cops got into trouble because they were abusing their authority with a speed trap.

No, that's an assumption based on watching what the cops did.

What they did? They made a traffic stop! They had their reasons, and it's not the one you made up in your own little mind.

Tell us again how you aren't racist, Ray, that shit never gets old.

It's not racist, it's observation. Take it from a professional and one who lives with them.

Sounds like the cops got into trouble because they were abusing their authority with a speed trap.

I don't know if they did get in trouble, the media didn't report that part nor should they. Bottom line is that cops don't pull people over for no reason. They have better things to do.

They didn't run any red lights or stop signs, they were going at the speed limit.

One just imagines the poor black people who have to live next to Ray because he lacks the ambition to work hard enough to move to a better neighborhood.

I don't know if they did get in trouble, the media didn't report that part nor should they. Bottom line is that cops don't pull people over for no reason. They have better things to do.

Um, no. Setting up a speed trap to generate revenue is not "something better to do", it's the kind of abuse of police power that makes a lot of people hate the police. They just ran into someone who had enough power to do something about it.

They didn't run any red lights or stop signs, they were going at the speed limit.

So in other words you have no idea why they pulled them over. Do you often carry your laser gun to monitor traffic speed?

One just imagines the poor black people who have to live next to Ray because he lacks the ambition to work hard enough to move to a better neighborhood.

This is where my business is. It makes no sense to leave here only to have to return every day to get work done. My 85 year old mother never drove a car in her life, and I'm just about the only one who can take her places or pick things up from the store like I did today. Currently she's only about five minutes away.

Enforcing the laws is an abuse of power? Well, you are a leftist so I suppose so.

Actually, I was going the same speed, and no one pulled me over.

Like I said, you always have an excuse.

Enforcing the laws is an abuse of power? Well, you are a leftist so I suppose so.

Um, yeah, when you set up a speed trap to generate revenue, that's an abuse of power.

It seems you really, really like government when it's applied to other people, not so much to yourself.

How is that an abuse of power? A person violates the speed limit and the cop writes them a ticket. The speed limits apply to others and myself. I just choose to obey the law.
