If al-Qid Preferes to Starve, Let Him.

Whilst Dogandbone is trawling through the neonazi handbook for a response................ I am old enough to remember the friends of South Africa referring to Mandela as a terrorist.
A strong South Africa was needed to fight back against commie expansion you see.

Of course there is no comparison between a brutal apartheid regime and South Africa.

So what do you think of Menachem Begin and Nelson Mandella? I think that is a worthwhile question because you have now, on multiple posts brought it up.

Please do not lie. I have not mentioned either even once.

The subject matter here has to do with a man with connections to terrorism being held in detention, and all the implications thereof. With this in mind, and all your attempts at sidetracking aside, that is the actual issue.

You've mentioned mass murders going on to do greater things.

So again, what do you think of Begin and Mandella? Mandella, too, engaged in a hunger strike. Was that a tantrum?

Of course it doesn't when you isolate it from the entire quote. But then again, you brought it up.

Actually, that was you.

But good try!!

The subject matter here is not Nelson Mandela, but a man with ties to terrorists. I'm hoping that somebody would join me in keeping this thread from being intentionally derailed like this.

The OP referenced the hunger strike as a 4-yr old's tantrum. Do you consider that to be the case when someone is being held in indefinate detention with no charges? It's just a "tantrum"? Should they just accept it quietly?

I'll move a side track of mass murderers "doing" great things (as you put it) to another thread and see if you have the balls to lay out your position :)

We don't actually know if this prisoner has ties to terrorism. No charges have been made. No evidence provided.

Yes, I reminded you of things you have said. I was certainly not saying that as you claimed so dishonestly.

My position on the subject is that if all Islamic terrorists and the supporters of these terrorists were to on hunger strikes, the world would end up be a better place, indeed, so I thoroughly support his doing so.

This person isn't an Islamic terrorist or supporter as far as any evidence or charges are concerned. I take it you don't believe in a justice system to make those determinations?

"mass murderers so often do great things" - those were your dishonest words, not mine.

He has ties to Hamas. I realize you think they are the good guys, but they aren't.

Mass murderers are not my heroes -- they are yours. I would never in a million years embrace or dignify mass murder like you have.

Based on what evidence? What charges? Who has he murdered?

Court says Palestinian hunger striker to stay in Israeli hospital

A classic example of someone with zero authority trying to dictate terms.

Its a microcosm of the entire conflict.

"I'l throw my life away needlessly if I don't get my way"

Its like watching a four year old throw a tantrum.

The situation is obvious, Israel has every right to detain suspected combatants for as long as they want under the Geneva Conventions.

yet the pali's will stage it as if Israel is the bad guy.

go

What crime did he commit? Sounds like he's a journalist.
I cant see what crime he committed. He has not been charged or tried either. Its an absolute disgrace.

Video: Palestinian hunger striker's wife makes urgent plea

He has made his choice, and in a utopia the door of his hospital room would be locked for the next month. Then his remains scooped into a plastic bag and burnt along with the rest of the rubbish.

What crime were the families of the girls in Rochdale guilty of when they where arrested on the orders of the Labour party ?

Time to put your own house in order before demanding other do it

Fair minded Israeli's ?

No B'Tselem gets most of its funding from abroad. Its not Israeli's funding their kinda nonsense.

The fact is he's being detained as a suspected collaborator which is perfectly legal under both Israeli law and international law.

If he wants to throw a tantrum and refuse to eat thats his business but Israel is under no obligation to release him. They would however be fully within their rights, if they so chose, to shove a feeding down his throat and pour.
Well Israel itself is funded from abroad.
I also think the legal grounds are shaky to say the least.
What if the US decided to detain a few patriot groups on a similar basis ? I think there may be comment on that.

But what has he actually done though ?
I ask you the question in the knowledge that you dont know.
You dont even know what he has been accused of or even who has accused him.
Neither does he.
I can hear Kafkas corpse turning in its grave.

Ties to a known terrorist group. Enough evidence to have him arrested in most civilised nations. The UK has deported muslims for the same reasons

15th post
His wife says not. They have arrested him several times over the years but have never had the evidence to charge him.
Perhaps his "crime" is criticism of the Israeli state ?

The legal grounds are well founded. Here in the US one may be detained indefinitely as well. From an international perspective again the Geneva Conventions apply and allow for any non-protected person to be detained indefinitely and without charge.

I'm sure you are aware that anyone within the area of the conflict who engages as a combatants, assists a combatant or is suspected of being or assisting a combatant forfeits their protected person status and may be detained without communication indefinitely or until the end of hostilities.

Israeli law is more than clear as well. Administrative detention is perfectly legal

The Geneva conventions as it applies to occupation?

The Geneva Conventions as they apply to armed conflict.

Occupation has never been legally determined.

but Dogs right. You do seem to be making every attempt to distract from the subject. Which is some detainee throwing a tantrum and refusing to eat. I say let him hold him incomunicado until the end of hostilities exactly as specified in the international conventions of war.

Look at the sequence of posts why don't you before issuing your condemnations. If he and *you* don't want to be distracted - then why the drive by flames doing that distracting?

Every one of my posts included something on topic and, at which this point has not really been answered. What crime has he committed? :dunno:

What "enough evidence" specifically since you seem to know this.
