"We don't condone what these companies are doing": North Idaho wireless internet provider to block Facebook & Twitter for customers, if requested | News | khq.com

Other Red State ISP's are about to follow suit.

A North Idaho wireless internet provider says they will be making it easier for their customers to block Facebook and Twitter, after they said they've received "non-stop calls" from their customers asking them to do so.

KHQ spoke with YourT1Wifi owner Bret Fink who said the decision to do this was based only on logistics, not political ideology. Fink says many of his customers aren't tech savvy and he is simply trying to do his best to help as many customers as possible in as easy a way as possible. Fink says following Facebook and Twitter's decision to ban President Donald Trump from the sites, he heard from many customers saying the sites propagate misinformation and are wrongly censoring the President. He says many of his customers are concerned that the sites could negatively impact their children and their community. So he's taken steps to block them, which will go into effect Wednesday, January 13th.

Northern Idaho is the new Dixie.

Its where dead enders go to celebrate their demise.

Perhaps someone should tell the subscribers that they could just not log on to facebook or twitter and not have to request it from their ISP.

The people at Facebook and Twitter should be celebrating- they don't want customers from those areas anyhow.

Are you referring to the 74,000,000 people who use the Internet and have Smart Phones?

I'm referring to the idiots that support Dump and don't realize they dont have to log onto Facebook or Twitter. That 75 million figure seems a little high.

You're saying an ISP can't block Facebook or Twitter?

Wont be long before they lose their licensing. Their customers must be idiots. Facebook and Twitter require you to log on.
Yeah... But if you don't want your own internet to give access to those sites... There are better ways to go about this, but hey...

For example, it's a parents right to manage what their children are subjected to in this regard.

That's in my general geographic area. I honestly could care less as I dumped both my facebook/twitter accounts several years ago as I was already working Y/A's message board stumping for our Libertarian party back then, until Y/A's terminated my account for committing religious degradation. I eventually found a real(non PC) message board in USMB & have no use for the twitter/facebook sites anymore.

Should a baker, who does not believe in gay marriage for religous reasons, have to bake a cake for a same sex wedding?
Twitter is a private company. They can kick off who they want. The Idaho ISP is a private company. They can kick off who they want. Let the consumers decide. If you are mad at Twitter, do not use them.
I thought your group is for less government. Now you want the governement to force a private company to take customers they do not want. Like the baker.
