Refused to Comply with Law: Mayorkas of violated numerous provisions of the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA), specifically by not complying with mandatory detention requirements for inadmissible aliens and abusing parole authority.
He willfully Breached Public Trust: Mayorkas knowingly made false statements to Congress and the public, claiming the border was "secure," and obstructing lawful oversight of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).
Unlawful Release of Aliens: Mayorkas oversaw a "catch-and-release" scheme, resulting in the release of nearly 15 million illegal immigrants into the U.S.

There was a series of studies done based on immigration in the State of Texas from the years 2012 to 2018. Every study reached the same conclusion. Undocumented immigrants are not the greatest threat of crime in this country.

"The study found that undocumented immigrants are arrested at less than half the rate of native-born U.S. citizens for violent and drug crimes and a quarter the rate of native-born citizens for property crimes." 1​

"We find that undocumented immigrants have substantially lower crime rates than native-born citizens and legal immigrants across a range of felony offenses. Relative to undocumented immigrants, US-born citizens are over 2 times more likely to be arrested for violent crimes, 2.5 times more likely to be arrested for drug crimes, and over 4 times more likely to be arrested for property crimes." 2
"The vast majority of research finds that immigrants do not increase local crime rates and that they are less likely to cause crime or be incarcerated than native-born citizens." 3
