ICE arresting more innocent people than criminals. Up 800% more under Trump!

First of all, answer my question before you ask me one. That is the way it works, you know?

I will answer your question after you answer mine!
I did answer your question. I said I would take my family to a country that was welcoming to immigrants.
So did you want to explain why 1.5 million illegals have "self deported" back to their country of origin?

You did not answer the question given that there is no country that accepts illegal aliens. As such, your answer was no answer, it was a deflection.

As far as answering your question (evidently you cannot answer mine), the answer is simple.............FEAR! Fear is what drove them here and given that they are now being hunted and forced out in the most horrible way, they were given a way out where they could self-deport and be given all the tools to do it in an economic-to-them way and in an easy manner.

With over 11 million coming here, it is to be expected that not all of them were starving or facing problems in their country. They came here simply because they could have a better life than where they were. Going back when there really wasn't any other "good" choice that would have them facing a situation in their country that they could not handle (survival), they chose to leave.

Having said that, I could find no confirmation anywhere that is in effect 1.5 million. Below is a video from FOX news that says 5,000.

Actually you can state that. I'll give you a perfect example. If officials claim that crime is down when people are so frustrated with the lack of prosecution that they don't even call the Police to report crimes...statistically you would be right that crime was "down" but in reality crime is increasing! Statistics can be illuminating or you can use them to hide the truth.
Again, prove your statement.

I wouldn't go anywhere with my family where we would be illegals. I'd go to a country that wanted us to be there.

Of course not

Nor should the canadians care about me or sacrifice their standard of living for me

You are making my case
No, I am not making your case and let me show you why:

For over 200 years, the U.S. was respected and admired for being the #1 country supporting human rights, having the best laws, being humane, and offering the most opportunity to anyone in the world.

Under Trump, that reputation is going down the drain

Did you even look for confirmation of that number?

Show me such a country that would want you there, with you being poor, without any special talent and super needy.

It is easy to say what you said above, but have you put yourself in the shoes of these people from countries that are poor, have no job openings, are run by dictators and offer nothing to these people.

Where would someone like that be welcomed???

Be specific as to what nation would open their borders to such people!

Oh and by the way, have you ever considered the positives of those people coming here, especially considering who we have become (talking about U.S. citizens)?

The fact that we have great technology, and Americans can see (and want) what the rich have (it is shown to us every day and in every way) and most Americans now not willing to toil in low paying jobs that is not anything less than very hard work (like working the fields, doing hard construction work, giving service to others, for example like in hotels), these illegals do fulfill a need this country has.

These illegals are not only willing to do these jobs (given that they are better in every way than in their own countries) but do it here willingly, given that they do not have the education, or even the ability or desire to fulfill jobs they can't do.

How many "Americans" are willing to do those jobs at minimum pay, hard work, and no possible advancement? Tell me!

And yet, these jobs are very important to our nation because without them, we cannot compete with other world powers. We cannot sell grains, fruits and vegetables because we either do not have the supply or what we have is at a much higher cost. People would stop traveling because coming here (as visitors from another country) or as Americans going to other cities here in the U.S., you would not find hotels and places to stay because they would either be too expensive or too lacking in service.

Have you ever given a thought to that?

Did you even look for confirmation of that number?
AI Overview

Based on recent statements from the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), it has been claimed that approximately 1.6 million unauthorized immigrants have "self-deported" from the U.S. in 2025. However, this claim is disputed, and the methodology used to reach this number has been questioned by researchers and other news outlets.

No problem, go home and come back legally.

We'll welcome them with open arms.

So petty and largely victimless crimes, then?

No, their rights are being violated, but it's not like they are white people, amiright?
"Petty and victimless crimes"? Tell that to all the other people who have to pay onerous uninsured drivers' insurance, or those who the unlicensed drivers injure or kill in collisions or are involved in accidents caused by illegal traffic actions by those unlicensed drivers.

Who made such a finding? The problem is that most cases never get heard at all. We are talking backlogs of 4-7 years.

iIn the past 22 years, around 1.9 million asylum cases have been filed and about 40% are still pending. The Transactional Records Access Clearinghouse at Syracuse University estimates that wait times for hearings average about four and a half years.

Asylum has been granted in about 40% of the nearly 700,000 asylum cases that have been decided since 2000. Immigration judges in that time frame approved about 30% of the applications, or about 420,000 cases, filed by people in deportation proceedings after arriving at the border or after being apprehended within the U.S.
In fiscal year 2022, immigration judges decided 52,000 asylum cases; about 46% of people were granted asylum. The approval rate was closer to 39% for those who applied for asylum as a defense against deportation.
Most cases never get heard at all because the "asylum applicants" fail to show up for their hearings.

If I'm without any special talents...that's on me. I've learned new talents my whole life. Talent is what makes you welcome no matter where you go.

As for who will do the jobs that Americans no longer want to do? I think if you research the topic you'll find that Trump is in favor of a work visa program to allow people into the country to do just that. We've had some form of that for decades now. What I'm not in favor of is flooding the country with people with no job skills...people with ties to criminal gangs...people with mental issues. That's what you on the left subjected us to. All to keep political power.

So you've gone from claiming it was only 5,000 to "questioning" if the actual number is 1.6 million? Not to bust your stones, Lucky but you're getting savaged in this string!

Let me ask you a simple question "If you fled to Canada because your president/ruler stated that he wanted to kill you, would you care about what happens to Canada by you being there? Would you go back to the U.S. because you cared enough about Canada, that you did not want to discomfort them by staying there"?

YOur making the case as to why the illegals want to be here.

No one is saying that they don't want to be here.

The question is, do we want them here. And the answer is no.
