I WAS THERE: MY PERSPECTIVE ON BOWE BERGDAHL
A few days ago, Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel took the stage at Bagram Air Field in Afghanistan and excitedly started with what he thought would be a big applause line. “We got him back!” he exclaimed.

Silence.

Not. Even. One. Clap.

Numerous White House leaks show that Obama and his team were convinced that Americans would greet the news of a returning POW with elation; that this would be the great moment in ObamaÂ’s second term. This shows just how clueless they are about the military. Let me clue them in.

You see, when Hagel took the stage, he expected joy at the announcement that one of their own was returned! However, you have to see inside a soldierÂ’s mind to understand what was going on here. I believe I can provide a little insight.

When a soldier deserts his post, when he writes that he is ashamed to be an American, when he gives the enemy secrets (and he did), he is no longer “one of us”. He is a traitor. He is not a brother-in-arms.

Soldiers risk their lives for each other every day on the battlefield, there is a trust and respect they have for each other. For Bowe Bergdahl to break that trust and the Secretary of Defense to announce a heroÂ’s welcome instead of a court-martial is a huge let-down.

He isn't one of their own. He is one of them. He is the enemy.

That's not something to celebrate.

The message the White House is sending is that they value treason more than honorable service.

It's a good thing no one made any judgments on this man before knowing all the facts.

Statement by the Southern Baptist Church on the mormon church

Rob Bowman with the North American Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention (SBC) says Christians need to be aware that the beliefs of the Mormon Church are inconsistent with biblical Christianity. As one Mormon candidate launches his White House bid, the Southern Baptist official is urging Christians to take advantage of materials his denomination offers that teach the truth about Mormonism.

As former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney officially announced his presidential candidacy this week, a cover story in USA Today looked at the beliefs of the Mormon Church, formally known as the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Rob Bowman, manager of the apologetics and interfaith evangelism department of the SBCÂ’s North American Mission Board (NAMB), thinks Christians would be wise to take an even closer look at the Mormons, lest any be deceived about the nature and tenets of that religious group. He says although the Mormon Church wages an expensive public relations campaign, using terms familiar to appeal to evangelicals, the core teachings of the church do not line up with scripture and are inconsistent with evangelical Christianity.

For this reason, Bowman says the SBC has for decades offered, through its various entities, information resources focusing on the Mormon Church. Many of these resources detail the differences between Christian and Mormon beliefs — of which there are many, the NAMB official observes.

For example, Bowman notes, "In 15 short years, [Mormon Church founder] Joseph Smith went from being a thoroughgoing monotheist, a believer in one god, to a thoroughgoing polytheist, teaching the existence of many gods." Also, he points out, the Latter-day Saints teach that humans can achieve godhood by joining the church and taking part in specific deeds and ceremonies.

Such divergent beliefs are among the reasons, the NAMB official asserts, why Christians must know the Bible, so as not to be fooled by non-biblical Mormon teachings. As for the Mormon Church members themselves, he adds, "Our concern is that they donÂ’t really know the God of the Bible. So weÂ’re concerned for their salvation."

The concern of Bible-believing Christians is that Mormons do not know the real Jesus of scripture, Bowman explains. The SBCÂ’s desire, he says, is not only to see evangelicals learn about the differences between Mormonism and Christianity but also to see Mormons come to know Jesus and have an authentic relationship with Him.

Of course, this was in 2007. before "OH MY GOD THERES A NEGRO IN THE WHITE HOUSE!!!"

Then the Baptists just love them some Mormons after the Brokers on Wall Street told them that was their only alternative.

Wait, they didn't.

He never claimed they dropped the language. He is claiming that they have not dropped the language, yet still voted for Bishop Romney, a cultist in their view.

:badgrin::badgrin:...Yes, Rep Frog Boy, Myrtle says Zimmerman never spent time in prison, and I corrected her, then she went all "nutz", and OCD complaining a jail isn't prison, although the dictionary has them as synonyms!....You want to show signs of OCD also?...LOVE to play with you on that! :eusa_clap::eusa_clap:
There is a big difference between jail and prison, JimBowie or Steph should be able to fill you in on the differences.

Well then, in the sake of decency and bi-partisanship, let's give him time to run that through his quantum windbaggifier once again...

:D

Yeah, the reason I think that Zimmerman is guilty is because Trayvon is dead and Zimmerman shot him.
Pssst! Killing and murder are not synonymous.

You really are not very bright.

Well, shooting an unarmed child in the middle of the street is pretty much synonymous with murder.
No, it's not. You should just stop now.
All white jury letting Zimmerman go is like an all-black jury letting O.J. go. Ignore the evidence, go with jury nullification, try to rationalize it.
Stop projecting your own racism on everyone else.

Oh, and meanwhile, stop being a flaming hypocrite.

But that's never going to happen.

Oh, so if you think it is obvious, then there's no reason to investigate it? That's so American. Why bother with trials, or lawyers, we'll just ask the GOP what their take is on any crime and go with it....:lol:
I guess you've deliberately ignored the posts where I've said he needs to be investigated.

Go back and read them. Then feel free to edit or delete your asinine post.

You dopey ****...even the dictionary states that jail and prison are synonyms.... do you know what that means?

syn·o·nym
[ sínnə nìm ]

  1. word meaning same as another: a word that means the same, or almost the same, as another word in the same language, either in all of its uses or in a specific context.
  2. alternative name: a word or expression that is used as another name for something in some styles of speaking or writing or to emphasize a specific aspect or association.
  3. rejected duplicate taxonomic name: a duplicate taxonomic name that has been rejected or replaced

No, I want you to continue, just like that other ***** OCD Pogo did when she stated that the KKK was not founded by Democrats....I WANT everyone to be able to point, and laugh at your OCD and be able to call you out on it later....BOOKMARKED for future fun with this deranged *****!
I think you quoted the wrong post, V. I wasn't in the prison/jail sidebar.

If that is what you believe and said, then why are you even saying that it is obvious that he is a deserter? He is going to be investigated.....that's a given, but obviously from your statements you believe he is a deserter before he is even investigated....that makes about as much sense as idiot Vigilante arguing that jail/prison are one and the same.
In case you didn't notice, I'm allowed to give my opinion. Your approval is neither sought nor required.

Like the Left and Zimmerman, I believe Bergdahl is guilty -- but unlike the Left and Bergdahl, I will await and accept the result of his court-martial. If he's found guilty of all charges, I won't throw a hissy-fit. I won't demand a retrial. I won't post his address and say somebody should shoot him.

In other words, I will behave like a rational, reasonable, mature human being...the polar opposite of an emotional, petulant, child-like progressive.

Democrats didn't anticipate it because they don't see the issue with anything he did. It wasn't part of their world. So it never crossed their mind. They didn't review it and reject it, they just never thought of it.

It's written into the bylaws of the Southern Baptist Convention that Mormonism is a cult. That's a fact.

So clearly they are dictating what their believers' views should be.

Do you ever get tired of stepping in shit, dave?

So, because the Southern Baptists believe it, ALL Christians do?

Yes, I get tired of stepping in shit. Most of it seems to come from you. Dumbass.

There was never any doubt as to who shot Trayvon Martin. Zimmerman killed him whether it was justified or not.

But you called the case a murder, less than a month after it happened, before the trial.
I am glad that you recognize this as a murder, not some self-defense bullshit.
Go ahead. Tell us that you didn't say what you said. Proglodytes backpedaling is more fun to watch than bears on unicycles.
It is murder. Which is another name for homicide.
It is neither; a jury of his peers said so. Raving butthurt internet pussies cannot alter this reality.

You lost. You know -- just like usual.

That's correct. They are no more terrorists than a militia out of Michigan would be, who is defending America from a foreign invasion.

Why do you confuse them with al Qaeda? FOXNEWS clouding your thought process?
Wow. Just...wow. You can try to deny reality all you want, but all it accomplishes is make you look even more like a mindless Obama ass-suck.

Thank you for not even bothering to try to argue that they are terrorists.

Tell us, dave: why weren't these Taliban 5 held as Enemy Combatants?
They are terrorists. I can't believe anyone smart enough to operate a personal computer is stupid enough to claim they aren't...but you're living proof.

Just for shits and giggles, maybe you should check out some of bedouin's posts before collecting your Rescued Maiden Sex from him.

Then scoot back here and let everyone know if you agree he's a retard or not.

Run along, now!
And that excuses your flaming hypocrisy...how, exactly?

Hint: It doesn't. Dumbass.
Hypocrisy because I won't answer his dumbass questions or jump through hoops for him? Or for you?

No, dumbass. Hypocrisy for criticizing me for using the "why should I bother?" response when you do the exact same thing.

Do you even know what "hypocrisy" means? Because it sure doesn't look like you do.

Maybe you should go back to the Ninja Turtle forum.
WTF are you babbling about now, dumbass?

Never mind. It would be just as stupid as your other crap.

Your certainty in your speculation illustrates that you are not 'fair and balanced', and are willing to believe the worst of every situation because it's Barack Obama. You're the very definition of a partisan hack.

Most Americans believe the President when he says that any leak of the plans would cause the people holding Bergdahl to kill him.
Yes, Obama is very concerned about leaks...except when the White House releases the name of the CIA Chief of Station in a country in which we are conducting combat operations. No one was punished for that.

Most Americans don't have their head up Obama's ass alongside yours.
^^^ the daving is strong.

Are the Taliban listed on the State Department's list of terrorist groups?

A simple yes or no will do.

Taliban treatment of women - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
